Lordy Me what an afternoon I have had! Went to my doctor appointment and liked her very much.. she gave me prescriptions for metformin and glipicide and lisperil(sp) and for my strips to test my blood sugar.. We went to Wallies Pharmacy to get it filled.. I used that Today's Options from the advantage program with medicare.. I needed some idea of what the cost would be for all those prescriptions she said come back in about 20 minutes ..I did and nearly flipped my lid when she read off the computer that the metformin was $300!!!! you probably could have heard me all over Wal mart saying WHAT!! I can't afford that and NEVER paid more than $7 for a months supply .. So she said she would have to fax the Dr and see if can get it changed to lower priced.. I asked her why so much money for metformin she said it was a fast acting metformin (sounds to me like a rich woman's prescription!!) She also said my "Elite" strips were not made anymore.. and I couldn't remember what brand my monitor is so I have to get that back to her .. So all I came home with was the glipicide and lisperil.. I do still have a few metformin left thank goodness but was out of glipicide.... then Nakai wanted to go to Win Co and get an application for security guard which we did and headed home ..well we were almost home and he spotted this couple sitting at the house that is for sale..and he turned around and headed back I said "where are you going I want to go home" He said there is someone I want you to meet.. I said"I don't want to meet anyone I want to go home" by that time we were at that house and I had to get out and go meet those people. I was really pissed with Nakai but was nice to those people.. she was Hawaiian (that's why he wanted to stop as he knew her family bla bla bla.. ) Well we finally left and got home.. The David asked me if he gave me $10 could I use my debit card as he wanted to talk to Jackie in jail.. I gave him stink eye but he looked at me so pitiful that I agreed and he did the call that place and then it was time for me to give the card information ..wouldn't you know it sounded like that gal was from Siam or some foreign place .. I gave the card number and she had to ask me 2 times the zip code I gave it to her but she must not have understood what I said because .. right after I finished that I went right to my online bank account and saw that there were THREE 13.40 charges pending and I told David he better get on the phone and get that straightened out... Well it wasn't straightened out to my satisfaction so I called my bank and got it straightened out with them. That is the LAST time I am going to do that again.. Gee Shirley you might have a boring life but when you do let loose you do it right. Sounds like any thing but boring!!!!!!!!! I have found any time you use any kind of cards when getting your perscriptions filled that it is higher. Have you tried WalMarts yet???? or better yet if you have a walgreens. Call your durgstores in the area and campare prices.
