From: "Dorothy Bowles" <dotjo1@suddenlink.net> Our medical; insurance which is Humanna Care was free but starting the first of the year they begin charging $18.00 which is a bargain. covers drugs, doctors, hospital and a bunch of other things. Dot Jo, is this a supplement insurance in addition to your Medicare or is it your primary insurance? I know people have the option now to get another company other than Medicare, so I wondered if you switched from Medicare. Bobbie

    3. Bobbie, Larry just came in so I asked him about it. It is called Medicare Advantage Plan. Oh, according to Larry we are going to go with Advantra Plan which doesn't require a monthly premium and has better benefits. YOU can find all of the insurance companies that offer coverage in the Medicare booklet for 2009. note that some of these coverages are only available in certain areas. So be sure to see if it is available where you live. He stays on top of this stuff and I LET HIM. Arvil won't be eligle for Medicare for another 1 1/2 years, so I guess he won't get that book until then. Since Jeannie works for SS, she had told us that there were other plans besides Medicare, but from the way I understood it, one would pay just as much as you would for Medicare. That's why I asked. $18 sounded like a great deal. Bobbie
