I have a nephew that lives near the lake area? Hadn't given him a thought. Better e-mail them. they are city people and have already been through a small hurricane, had a snake try to enter the house and now a ice storm. I don't know how many we lost, Dot Jo - we've not made it around the farm yet. In the yard alone, we've lost 2 peach trees, 2 apple trees, a willow tree, and the tops cherry trees and more apple trees, countless maples, pecans, hickory nut, walnut and locust trees. Up and down the lane, I wouldn't even make a guess (it's lined on both sides the entire way). One good thing is that we do have backup heat - although without power, we have no water (we get ours from a spring on the farm, county water's not available back here). There are still hundreds that are without power and/or water -or both. A hot shower was on the top of the priority list for both EJ and I. <g> And no, nothing outside is thawing yet. They're predicting more snow Monday night - some say 1-3 inches, others say 3-5 inches, although hopefully it will ALL be snow. I'd rather have had a 4 foot snow than the 2 inches of ice we got.
