Do Jo, your daughter is right. It is the vinegar................Pickles have water, calcium chloride and vinegar. This is the basic ingredients to what you find in the Isotonic drinks, except instead of acetic acid in the pickle juice, isotonic drinks have citric acid. Pickle juice is used for cramping muscles, in many sports. Especially in hot weather, it works wonders. Most sport coaches, reccomend this for their men while training, and most coaches reccomend this for football, baseball, basketball, and just about all athletes.................this is not new, has been around for many years. Don't know why we didn't know about it alot sooner. Doesn't matter if it is sweet or sour pickles the juice has the same ingredients.......so instead of throwing out the juice when the pickles are gone, save it, and take about 5 swigs or so, and the cramps go away. My Jim has been using this for some time, and I can tell you, it works great....................sam. marilyn, he eats them!!!!!!!!!!! i talked to my nurse daughter and she says it is the vinager that helps with the cramps and explained it to me sometime she knows what she is talking about and sometimes i take it with a grain of salt.LOL and I think it is the dill ones. I could drink the Dill Pickle juice but not the Sweet. When I make Homemade pickles my ingredients are no where the same. I use white vinegar on one & apple cider vinegar on the other. Sam I know what I am going to do: Ever heard of Jogging in a Jar? have the instructions hear somewhere- I know it is vinager, and a few other things you use around the house and you take a half a glass a day. It is sorta like granny's tonic supposed to be good for a large number of aches and ails. Dot Jo, add some red hot halapena peppers to the mix, and you will really be jogging....lol ............. this is actually one of the ingredients that you could add to the pickle juice..........some say it works great. sam Sam I know what I am going to do: Ever heard of Jogging in a Jar? have the instructions hear somewhere- I know it is vinager, and a few other things you use around the house and you take a half a glass a day.
