    3. Dot Jo, If we didn't mind our parents, we knew the belt was coming our way.I also use a belt on my boys, slap their rears some with a belt, in they knew to behave. I never beat them just enough to hurt a little. Now I have good grandchildren, all grown now but one, they was made to mind, but most was a good talking did the best with them. But they did get a belt from me on their bottoms. We laugh today about the belt. I love to talk about the way I was raise, in so does my husband. We had to walk to school, in carry a lunch pail with our lunch, no fancy lunch either. All kids from the mining camp, walk the railroad tracks to school. The tracks ran in front of the school, in the train would come loading down with coal, in a lot of black smoke came from the train. Also the train had a car for anyone going out Stearns, Ky.
