Y'all, David and I went to the next biggest town, Albany, to celebrate our 27th anniversary. Our anniversary was on the 16th, but our 9 yr. old grandson spent the night with us, so we just took the time to quickly go to Cracker Barrel. Tonight, we went out to Longhorn's! The nicest thing happened, there was a couple right behind us who were celebrating their 31st. I heard them talking about having children in Arkansas and Kansas City to the waiter. So, I got up and went to their booth and told them that David was from Arkansas and that I had grown up there. They told me that they had been in the Ozarks in Dec. because their son had died on Christmas day! I said, that's horrible, I'm so sorry, but they didn't seem to want to say anymore about it. I had told them that my dad was a minister and that he had preached all over Ar. and Mo. The lady asked me what his name was that she had been around a lot of pentecostal churches growing up. I told her and she knew him! In a little while, the entire staff came out of the back with ice cream sundaes and sang Happy Anniversary to all of us. When they left, I told them, "it was nice spending our anniversaries together." They agreed. On the way home, David said that the Lord had sent me over there to minister to those people because they were hurting. I said yes, and the Lord sent me over there for them to minister to me too. Here I've been depressed over losing my cousins to cancer and those people lost their son on Christmas day and he had to be under 30. That's a tragedy, no matter how they lost him!
