Mildred One of my 3 sisters has Hepatitis C. She has had 2 liver transplants. The first one didn't work, but the second she has had for about 5 years. She is going in tomorrow for a biopsy to see if it is still ok. The transplant didn't cure her, just is prolonging her life up to 15 years. She lived a very bad life before and that is how she got the disease. She will be 56 Apr 21. It was tragic that two people died to help her live and learn from her mistakes. She almost died before the transplant. She was on the bottom of the list because of her drug use. Milly, I am glad your sister DID learn. Too often that is the only way some people ever learn. We don't know why some people live the lives they do all we can do is be there for them when they do learn. Most don't ever do better until some tragidy does bring them to their knees. Glad it happened to your sister before it was too late for her.
