If he knows what is going on then he had better tell us or there will be hell to pay on his part. By law Dr's. are not to with hold information from his patients. He really hasn't done anything to try to find out why this is happening except to run the CBC blood test. I want some testing done that will give us the whys not just simplest answers. I do not feel any stronger today & my head is still pounding & I'm still short of breath the same as before yesterday when they pumped ne full of blood. He said that I would feel better overnight. Marilyn, I'm with you I want to know why I feel bad why I had to have a transfusion what caused it etc. I know if you needed that much blood something is taking it and you would have thought he would have kept you and started a battery of test to see what was going on. UNLESS he wanted to get the blood in you and get you feeling better before he started the test. BUT he should have told you that!! It's like they think we don't have sense enough to realize there is something wrong when your blood level drops enough to need a transfusion!! Duh!!!!! any one with 1/2 a brain knows you don't get a transfusion unless your blood level is seriously low and we also know there is a reason it got that low and therefore are going to worry that it is something serious. when do you go back to the doctor??? I have never had to have a transfusion but the blood count has gotten very low, I didn't want to eat or sleep.every thing and every body irritated the crap out of me I just wanted to be left alone.
