Tiny Frogs Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs.... who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants. ... The race began.... Honestly: No one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. You heard statements such as: "Oh, WAY too difficult!!" "They will NEVER make it to the top." or: "Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!" The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one.... Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher.. The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!" More tiny frogs got tired and gave up.... But ONE continued higher and higher and higher... This one wouldn't give up! At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top! THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it? A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal? It turned out.... That the winner was DEAF!!!! The wisdom of this story is: Never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic. ...because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you -- the ones you have in your heart! Always think of the power words have. (There's life and death in the power of the tongue - Proverbs 18:21.) Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions! Therefore: ALWAYS be.... Jenny, and Shirley H.   This is all true.   We have been working on the illegals for sometime, and it is looking really promising.   At our town meetings, the right to bear arms, was coming up at everyone of them.    We are very happy about this one.   Our constitution already says WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS, no government can take ours from us, I imagine they will try if they can.   Already the Federal government is working on a plan for the states that have adopted this law for us to have our guns, to take it away.   All I can say is there is really going to be a fight if they continue with it.    The 10 Commandments was a blessing when they put it up at our state capital, in the city.   I cried with joy............................we have a town , here that some of the people are demanding the 10 commandments be removed in front of their courthouse.   Our governor of the state, says it STAYS................this has been going on for over a month.................it is over as of last friday............................Praise the Lord , for the good things happening here.   Jenny, don't know why every state cant' do the same things.................our people are really coming out and talking up a storm at our meetings we are having, and it is wonderful, as well as constructive for this state, as it would be for all states for people to get involved once again in how they would like to see thier  state improve, and to know what is going on is mandatory for everyone of us...................I can honestly say, I am very glad my neighbors, friends, are very involved....................feels like we are getting somewhere once again, and expressing ourselves, and talking about our country in a good way..............................and especially the kind of leadership we expect from our senators, councilmen, and our PRESIDENT.      Sam. Shirley H.  there is now 60,001, and more that have cancelled there membership with AARP.   We received a letter to back the new Health care plan.   Included in the letter was a form to support this plan.   Suggested donations started at 25.00.     We sent the whole mess back, with our own personal note .  address with return to sender.......  They have abandoned the Seniors that are members, and sided with this administration.............we told them to cancell our membership, and refund the balance of the next year which was previously paid.   I won't hold my breath in our refund..........nor will I hold my breath that they are thinking about the seniors.best interest...................sam It is my understanding that over 60,000 AARP members have left AARP so far because AARP top guys hopped on Obama's health care band wagon..  Just because the president of AARP sided with Obama doesn't change the fact of what has been written in that huge mess of a health care plan.. and no I didn't hear that from Glen Beck show..  I agree that the present health care plan needs to be fixed better than it is.. but not Obama's way. We had very thick fog this morning, finally started clearing off around 11 AM. We have hay down and two wet to rake. Hubby got the little tractor out and went down and mowed or knocked down the grass at a neighbors yard. They only come in twice a year, spring and fall. The rest of the time we have to keep it mowed, well did not get to it this summer at all. I came home and decorated (very simple decorations) on a birthday for a guy at work. I usually try to find something out about the person, but this guy is very quiet and we know virtually nothing about what he likes etc. He listens to music via his cell phone, so I drew a cell phone and ear plug. That is about all I could come up with. One other time the gal I did the cake for likes Lite Beer so I drew a beer can and filled it in like the actual can. She loved it. Now if I could find time to get the vacuum cleaner run and the cat hair cleaned up I would be a happy camper, but I am too tired tonight to get it done and probably not tomorrow either. Nancy

That's what happened here to ,Joyce just enought rain that you can't work outside. I had been doing the top to botten cleaning for the past two weeks with other odd jobs thrown in for good measure. Had that all done except for the basement and den. Got the den paneling cleaned Friday and pictures washed and back up then had a birthday party Saturday and Labor Day cook out so had to clean up from all that. Wanted to clean carpet in den today and shampoo den couch and chair. But had too much company to get anything done except the furniture shampooed and did finally get some of the wash on the line. School back in session tomorrow and a work day so everyone will be gone will shampoo the carpet tomorrow and finish the wash. I wanted to finish the sealer on the deck today, but got a little rain. Just enough to put an end to that job. We live in the edge of the woods and this green gunk eventually turns the deck green. So, I dragged out the pressure washer last week and got it all cleaned off. We need the rain, but didn't get enough to really do much for the lawn which is getting crunchy. At least, I'm not having to mow now. When I opened the blinds in the bedroom this morning and the dust began to fly around, I decided I'd better clean in there. So, I've washed the blinds, washed the curtains, cleaned the windows, dusted and vacuumed. I feel like I've earned a rest. I'm not going to observe "Labor" Day all day long. Joyce

Got up with all day plans then found it's raining!!!!! so wash will wait until a sunny day, kids are out of school so no need to try to clean. Ground had softened enought so I could put up fenceing around flower beds, have a canning of pinto beans in to soak to can this evening. Have three cars in garage to work on and three men running in and out today so another reason not to try to clean house. Thank goodness no small kids here today YET. So gonna fix up water and clean my den couch and chair. he he will be so wet no one can sit so maybe all the kids will go home!!!!! Men will be working in garage so other than running in and out to eat or drink they won't be downstairs. Dot Jo's day isn't looking so gloomy after all. This morning daughter and I slipped off before 7 yard saleing, left Larry and granddaughter 14 still asleep. Forgot to leave a note telling them where we were!!!! About 11 daughters cell phone rang and it was hubby wanting to know where we were met us in town and was fit to be tied. They awoke and couldn't find me and had searched everywhere even went to the garden, under the clothes line yelled at every neighbor they saw searching for me he tought I had fell again and was laying somewhere hurt and couldn't get up. Found out later the real worry he needed some money and I had the check book and the ATM card. Shucks Sam, I'm hurt he didn't care enough to call the police in to find me. He he Since he has gotten older he is a strickler for locking up at night. I can't count the times he has locked me out and I've had to ring the doorbell to get back in. It is my understanding that over 60,000 AARP members have left AARP so far because AARP top guys hopped on Obama's health care band wagon.. Just because the president of AARP sided with Obama doesn't change the fact of what has been written in that huge mess of a health care plan.. and no I didn't hear that from Glen Beck show.. I agree that the present health care plan needs to be fixed better than it is.. but not Obama's way. I thank God that I am not "blinded" as some are by that radical communist Obama and his radical choices that he made in picking his cabinet and all the 36 communist thinking czars he has surrounding him that are bent in bankrupting the USA..
