Don't miss this Dear Friend, Tonight at 8 p.m. ET, the President will address Congress and detail his plan to bring stability and security to Americans who have insurance and affordable coverage to those who don't. You can watch the speech on television or on WhiteHouse.gov, with an exclusive live chat immediately afterwards. But you don't need to wait until then to understand what's at stake. The President has said many times that reform isn't about him - it's about a health insurance system that is breaking America's families and small businesses. Millions of Americans have lost coverage, are denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions, and continually watch premiums skyrocket out of control. That's why Americans want reform and why Congress must act. Two brave parents who represent these struggles - Laura Klitzka from Wisconsin and Nathan Wilkes from Colorado - will join the First Lady at the Capitol to watch tonight's speech. Their powerful stories underscore what's at stake with health insurance reform: Stories like Laura's and Nathan's remind us that there isn't time to wait, and that the status quo is not an option. Tonight, the President will clearly explain what health reform means to Americans - both those who have insurance now and those who don't. He will also specify what health reform doesn't mean - clearing up the confusion that has been fomented by the special interests and defenders of the status quo. Tune into to the speech tonight at 8 p.m. ET. It's an historic moment you won't want to miss. Thank you, David David Axelrod Senior Adviser to the President P.S. Don't forget: as soon as the President finishes his speech, White House Communications Director Anita Dunn will respond directly to reactions and questions in an exclusive live chat. So even if you watch the speech on TV, grab a computer and join the discussion: on Facebook or www.WhiteHouse.gov The White House . 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW . Washington, DC 20500 . 202-456-1111 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well Hello everyone. Some of the grand kids went to Tellico Plains over the week-end. The lady told them to tell me, she is still working on the story. They didn't tell her the other story that I was told so maybe when the snow falls she might get some time & pull it together. Shirley Bragg Cherish yesterday, Dream tomorrow, Live today.

My cousin sent the following to me.. whether true or not good to always check the receipt! Shirley H check your receipts Yes! This is True! It happened to me at Wal-Mart (Super Store on Clinton Highway, Knoxville TN) a month ago. I bought a bunch of stuff, over $150.00, and I glanced at my receipt as the cashier was handing me the bags. I saw a cash-back of $40.00. I told her I didn't request a cash back and to delete it. She said I'd have to take the $40.00 because she couldn't delete it. I told her to call a supervisor. Supervisor came and said I'd have to take it. I said NO! Taking the $40.00 would be a cash advance against my Discover and I wasn't paying interest on a cash advance!!!!!! If they couldn't delete it then they would have to delete the whole order.. So the supervisor had the cashier delete the whole order and re-scan everything! The second time I looked at the electronic pad before I signed and a cash-back of $20.00 popped up. At that point I told the cashier and she deleted it. The total came out right. The cashier agreed that the electronic pad must be defective. Ob! viously the cashier knew the electronic pad was defective because she NEVER offered me the $40.00 at the beginning. Can you imagine how many people went through before me and at the end of her shift how much money she pocketed? This could probably happen at any store where they give you cash back, so be cautious. Just to alert everyone. My co worker went to another Wal-Mart in west Knoxville last week. She had her items rung up by the cashier. The cashier hurried her along and didn't give her a receipt. She asked the cashier for a receipt and the cashier was annoyed and gave it to her. My co worker didn't look at her receipt until later that night. The receipt showed that she asked for $20.00 cash back. She did not ask for cash back! My co worker called Wal-Mart who investigated but could not see the cashier pocket the money. My co worker then called her niece who works for the bank and her niece told her this. There is a scam going on. The cashier will ask for cash back and hand it to her friend who is the next person in line. Please, Please check your receipts right away when using debit cards. The store has the cashier under investigation now. We can only pray that she is caught very soon. Nan Herman I am adding to this. My husband and I were in Wal-Mart in Pigeon Forge, Saturday and paying with credit card when my husband went to sign the credit card signer he just happened to notice there was a $20.00 cash back added. He told the cashier he did not ask nor want cash back and she said this machine has been messing up and she canceled it. We really didn't think anything of it until we read this email. Please be aware. KAT CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS VERY CAREFULLY! . Let me add that this also happened to me last week at the Walker Springs Wal-mart. I did NOT ask for cash back, but my receipt showed that I had. Becky
Iowa has a conceal carry law. My husband and I went to the local sheriff and applied, took the classes and qualified to get the permit. We had to go to the shooting range and we fired so many rounds from 5, 10 and 15 yards. When the head deputy scored us, he told me GOOD JOB, when he scored my husbands, he said "Don't piss her off". We all got a laugh on that one. I did so much better than he did and its been probably over 45 years since I fired a handgun, and this one we bought I fire for the first time the day before the test and qualification shoot. Where we live is close to one of the major interstate and is notorious as a drug pipeline. Plus we live in a farm oriented community where anhydrous ammonia is pretty much everywhere. So when we are out on the line as public servants we carry our guns. You just don't know what your going to run into. Nancy

This is all true. We have been working on the illegals for sometime, and it is looking really promising. At our town meetings, the right to bear arms, was coming up at everyone of them. We are very happy about this one. Our constitution already says WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS, no government can take ours from us, I imagine they will try if they can. Already the Federal government is working on a plan for the states that have adopted this law for us to have our guns, to take it away. All I can say is there is really going to be a fight if they continue with it. The 10 Commandments was a blessing when they put it up at our state capital, in the city. I cried with joy............................we have a town , here that some of the people are demanding the 10 commandments be removed in front of their courthouse. Our governor of the state, says it STAYS................this has been going on for over a month.................it is over as of last friday............................Praise the Lord , for the good things happening here. Tiny Frogs Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs.... who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants. ... The race began.... Honestly: No one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. You heard statements such as: "Oh, WAY too difficult!!" "They will NEVER make it to the top." or: "Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!" The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one.... Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher.. The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!" More tiny frogs got tired and gave up.... But ONE continued higher and higher and higher... This one wouldn't give up! At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top! THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it? A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal? It turned out.... That the winner was DEAF!!!! The wisdom of this story is: Never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic. ...because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you -- the ones you have in your heart! Always think of the power words have. (There's life and death in the power of the tongue - Proverbs 18:21.) Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions! Therefore: ALWAYS be.... POSITIVE! And above all: Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you cannot fulfill your dreams! Always think: God and I can do this! Pass this message on to "tiny frogs" you care about.
