Shirley, My son's step-son was born on my Mom's birthday; their youngest on my middle son's birthday. My daughter-in-law told me last night when they picked up their youngest that she hoped I was ready to chase two. Seems she's pregnant - due on my husband's birthday, May 13. My youngest was born on May 12th and oldest son (this one-to-be's daddy) was born on May 20. Brandi says there's NO WAY she's waiting until May 20 to have this baby! They said they wanted to be sure the birthdays are easy to remember. <g> This makes #5, with 2 sons not yet married (one is dating a girl that has a 3-year old that Jason loves like he was his own). Shirley B I like your recipe better than the one I googled...I am going to try it..Served with a salad and garlic bread... Milly WARD Piros We do not inherit the land from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. Native American Proverb
Yes June I saw it but never heard of it...I googled it and found Ingredients: * 1 or 2 cups cooked chicken, cut in chunks * 1 (6 oz.) pkg. thin spaghetti, COOKED * 1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted * 1/2 cup diced onion * 1/4 cup sliced ripe olives * 1/2 lb. Velveeta, cubed * salt & pepper to taste * Parmesan cheese, grated Preparation: Mix all ingredients together, except Parmesan cheese, and place in a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Cover, bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Stir once or twice toward end of cooking time to mix ingredients. (amounts of ingredients can vary slightly, if desired) Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving. Carolyn's Note: thin spaghetti is best and the olives give it a taste all it's own. To me without the olives, is kinda bland. But then I like the black olives. Milly WARD Piros We do not inherit the land from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. Native American Proverb
I went to visit my long time friend yesterday and to my camper. I left today and went to the store. I had to take something for my son's football party. I bought bacon and shrimp...I couldn't find small shrimp so I bought the large ones already cooked, removed the tails and cut into half. I cut the bacon into 1/3 and pre cooked it just to before the crispy set in....I rolled the bacon around the half piece of shrimp and stuck a tooth pick in and dipped it into my BBQ sauce and put under the broiler for 6 minutes...Yummmmy. Milly's home made BBQ sauce. (I don't like store bought) 1 cup of Ketsup 1 cup of French Dressing 2 tablespoons of Brown Sugar 1 teaspoon of Worcester sauce ,,not sure of spelling) optional or you can add and flavored sauce ...it's good... Slow Cooker Italian Chicken Thursday, October 30, 2008 Ingredients Needed: 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 lbs mixed chicken pieces (with skin removed) 1/4 cup flour 1 TBSP olive oil 8 oz sliced mushrooms 1 green pepper, seeded and diced 1 onion, chopped 2 cups Italian style diced tomatoes, undrained salt and pepper to taste fresh basil, chopped (optional) Directions: Coat the chicken pieces with flour. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook chicken about 10 to 12 minutes turning once to brown. Place chicken in slow cooker. Saute mushrooms in the skillet where you have cooked the chicken about 5 minutes or until they have given up their liquid, stirring occasionally. Pour mushrooms over chicken and add green pepper, onion and tomatoes. Cover and cook on low about 5 to 6 hours. Add salt and pepper to taste. If using basil, stir it in at this time. For this dish, I like to use a combination of boneless, skinless chicken breasts and boneless, skinless thighs. You may also add drumsticks if you wish. Simply remove the skin and leave the bone in. I put this over spaghetti Shirley Bragg Cherish yesterday, Dream tomorrow, Live today.
