    2. I thought I would let you all know since some of you have Whitley CO KY ties. I have a scanner & sometime this morning they found at least 1 man & woman dead from shotgun blast.     3. Shirley B that sounds like K.C., Mo. They have an average of 3 homicides a DAY there. I want my kids out of there so bad but they still won't hear of relocating. You would think with my nephew being murdered almost a year ago ( Oct 4, 2008) they would open their eyes & get the heck out of there.     3. You can always find out what I'm up to on Facebook. I have so many cousins, relatives, & friends on there, so I try to post often. We went to my daughter, Renee's for supper.     3. Mildred, Glad you heard me. LOL We have cooled down a lot here. WE haven't had much rain here but are not as dry as you are. Yes, I am about finished with my canning. Can't say I am sorry but sure miss my fresh produce. Had to buy tomatoes today for my hamburger wasn't happy about that. I am so happy with my can shelves in the basement. So good to be able to go down there and pick a can of beans off the shelf. But needed a rest from the garden. Were the fires any where near you? I thought about you and wondered. Didn't remember exactally where you live. Hope you are able to take the trip with the group and do some researching. Getting old is for the birds isn't it??
