    3. I'm kinda like you Mildred,I'm not dibetic but I like salads, Chicken , rice, Fruit , olive oil etc....Just went to the store and bought some rice....Got all the rest here.....Made Chicken and cooked rice over the week-end......Cooked a big pot of it.....Baby loves strawberrys, grapes an apples.....But he likes chicken and french fries with plenty of catsup.....LOL....Jenny "If God is for you", Who can be against you"? ----- Original Message ----- From: Mildred Tatum<mailto:mildee@sbcglobal.net> To: Down-Home-Chatter-L@rootsweb.com<mailto:Down-Home-Chatter-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 15, 2009 2:57 AM Subject: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] snow and cold I don't think there is too much else we can talk about right now, except how cold it is and the snow, its just that time of years, the bears might have a good idea about hibernating? Here in sunny Ca. it has not been the beautiful warm weather like they are having in the Los Angeles area, we live north of there, and its been cold and foggy, not like your cold weather in your states, but you don't want to get out unless you need to. My niece made up a big pot of stew over the weekend, and brought me some, was it good. she also made some cornbread to go with it. Mostly I eat, chicken, salads, vegs, fruits, with my diabetes, so when I get some good homemade food its a treat. Lets hear what everyone else is eating and cooking, it will give us some different thoughts. 3. Milly, here in Western Ky no snow, just very cold. Will be down to 1 tonight. Sure hope we have no babies born tonight. I would hate to be out in the cold like Sherri was, taking care of a new baby calf. Be careful on your job. Everyone on the list stay warm. 3. Sam, Can't remember bringing something that large into the house but can remember the little chicks and piglets. I'm sure if need arose they would have brought the larger ones in. I made a big pot of beef stew over the weekend, too, Mildred! I got it in the crock pot & set the timer on low heat & it was ready the next day when we got up. We ate on it for two or three days. I fixed fried chicken last night for our supper. As cold as it is now, it's a good time for a pot of vegetable soup & corn bread or maybe some chili. Arvil & I both love corn bread with vegatable soup. Bobbie

    3. Dot Jo, that got a chuckle. Poor, dumb woman ! lol. sam. A woman decides to have a facelift for her 50th birthday. She spends $15,000 and feels pretty good about the results. On her way home, she stops at a newsstand to buy a newspaper. Before leaving, she says to the clerk, 'I hope you don't mind my asking, but how old do you think I am?' 'About 32,' is the reply.' 'Nope! I'm exactly 50,' the woman says happily. A little while later she goes into McDonald's and asks the counter girl the very same question. The girl replies, 'I'd guess about 29.' The woman replies with a big smile, 'Nope, I'm 50.' Now she's feeling really good about herself. She stops in a drug store on her way down the street. She goes up to the counter to get some mints and asks the clerk this burning question. The clerk responds, 'Oh, I'd say 30.' Again she proudly responds, 'I'm 50, but thank you!' While waiting for the bus to go home, she asks an old man waiting next to her the same question. He replies, 'Lady, I'm 78 and my eyesight is going. Although, when I was young there was a sure-fire way to tell how old a woman was. < /FONT> It sounds very forward, but it requires you to let me put my hands under your bra. Then, and only then can I tell you EXACTLY how old you are.' They wait in silence on the empty street until her curiosity gets the best of her. She finally blurts out, 'What the heck, go ahead.' He slips both of his hands under her blouse and begins to feel around very slowly and carefully. He bounces and weighs each breast and he gently pinches each nipple. He pushes her breasts together and rubs them against each other. After a couple of minutes of this, she says, 'Okay, okay....How old am I?' He completes one las t squeeze of her breasts, removes his hands, and says, 'Madam, you are 50.' Stunned and amazed, the woman says, 'That was incredible, how could you tell?' The old man says, 'Promise you won't get mad?' 'I promise I won't' she says. 'I was behind you at McDonalds.' ------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG.
