    3. "If God is for you", Who can be against you"? --- Al-Qaeda cell killed by Black Death 'was developing biological weapons' http://www.telegraph.co.uk/<http://www.telegraph.co.uk/> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The group of 40 terrorists were reported to have been killed by the plague at a training camp in Algeria earlier this month. It was initially believed that they could have caught the disease through fleas on rats attracted by poor living conditions in their forest hideout. But there are now claims the cell was developing the disease as a weapon to use against western cities. Experts said that the group was developing chemical and biological weapons. Dr Igor Khrupinov, a biological weapons expert at Georgia University, told The Sun: "Al-Qaeda is known to experiment with biological weapons. And this group has direct communication with other cells around the world. "Contagious diseases, like ebola and anthrax, occur in northern Africa. It makes sense that people are trying to use them against Western governments." Dr Khrupinov, who was once a weapons adviser to the Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev, added: "Instead of using bombs, people with infectious diseases could be walking through cities." It was reported last year that up to 100 potential terrorists had attempted to become postgraduate students in Britain in an attempt to use laboratories.

After a year of marriage she went into the hospital to give birth. The nurse came out to congratulate the old fellow saying 'this is amazing! How do you do it at your age? ' He answered,' you got to keep the old motor running.' The following year the young bride gave birth again. The same nurse said, 'You're amazing, how do you do it? ' He again said 'you've got to keep the old motor running'. The same thing happened the next year. The nurse then said, 'well, well, well! You certainly are quite a man. He responded, 'You've got to keep that old motor running.' 1. Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] Welcome Back to Down Home, Shirley H
    2. Hi Mildred!!? I have sure missed DHC!? This morning when I looked out there was frost on the ground (grinning)? It reminded me of when I was staying with my stepgrannie who lived in Alabama and I would have to get up on those cold mornings..no central heat in that house..just a pot belly stove in the living room.. cold floors and then my grannie would make me the biggest breakfast of bacon, grits, eggs and toast made from her oven (she didn't own a toaster) after breakfast I would bundle up and walk to school.? I stayed with her for around 6? months I guess.. can't remember why but I did though.. perhaps I drove my stepmom nuts! LOL? I loved my step grannie.. She was a women to be admired.? She married my step grandfather and inherited his kids from ist marriage then they had 4 of their own.? They lived on a farm but by the time I knew them they had moved into town(Andalusia, AL)? She made the BEST chicken and dressing..which is my all time favorite food.? I can remember whe! n I first came to live with my dad /stepmom they took me to visit that grannie and it stands in my? mind till today of her getting an empty apple crate and plopping a cushion on top and bringing it to the table as their were so many around that table ..no extra chairs.. she made me a milky coffee and set a big bowl of canned peaches in front of me.. I drank and ate every bit LOL Shirley Shirley So good to see you back on here, how is your weather, my aunt lives in WA. she says a lot of rain, wish some could come down to Ca. I'm anxious to hear your stories about your life and what is happening, sure missed them. 1. Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] ice cream and the election
    2. Sam Loudermilk
    3. Interesting thoughts , Jenny.............................love, sam. - Excellent analogy! From a teacher in the Nashville area: "Who worries about "the cow" when it is all about the "Ice Cream?" The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade this year. The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote. To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot. The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia's mother. The day arrived when they were to make their speeches. Jamie went first. He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best. Everyone applauded. He sat down and Olivia came to the podium. Her speech was concise. She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream." She sat down. The class went wild. "Yes! Yes! We want ice cream." She surely could say more. She did not have to. A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn't sure. Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it? She didn't know. The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream. Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a landslide. Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and fifty-two percent of the people reacted like nine year olds. They want ice cream. The other forty-eight percent of us know we're going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess. ************** A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps! 1. Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] KURTIS THE STOCK BOY AND BRENDA THE CHECKOUT GIRL

    3. Thanks Lois.   What a wonderful story, that is filled with love and devotion.   Samantha _http://www.snopes.com/glurge/warner.asp_ (http://www.snopes.com/glurge/warner.asp) I check Snopes myself, and they verify it to be a true story. Think you will be glad you took the time to read it to the end. A great true story...Lois . KURTIS THE STOCK BOY AND BRENDA THE CHECKOUT GIRL In a supermarket, Kurtis the stock boy, was busily working when a new voice came over the loud speaker asking for a carry out at register 4. Kurtis was almost finished, and wanted to get some fresh air, and decided to answer the call. As he approached the check-out stand a distant smile caught his eye, the new check-out girl was beautiful. She was an older woman (maybe 26, and he was only 22) and he fell in love. Later that day, after his shift was over, he waited by the punch clock to find out her name. She came into the break room, smiled softly at him, took her card and punched out, then left. He looked at her card, BRENDA. He walked out only to see her start walking up the road. Next day, he waited outside as she left the supermarket, and offered her a ride home. He looked harmless enough, and she accepted. When he dropped her off, he asked if maybe he could see her again, outside of work. She simply said it wasn't possible. He pressed and she explained she had two children and she couldn't afford a baby-sitter, so he offered to pay for the baby-sitter. Reluctantly she accepted his offer for a date for the following Saturday. That Saturday night he arrived at her door only to have her tell him that she was unable to go with him. The baby-sitter had called and canceled. To which Kurtis simply said, "Well, let's take the kids with us." She tried to explain that taking the children was not an option, but again not taking no for an answer, he pressed. Finally Brenda, brought him inside to meet her children. She had an older daughter who was just as cute as a bug, Kurtis thought, then Brenda brought out her son, in a wheelchair. He was born a paraplegic with Down Syndrome. Kurtis asked Brenda, "I still don't understand why the kids can't come with us?" Brenda was amazed. Most men would run away from a woman with two kids, especially if one had disabilities - just like her first husband and father of her children had done. Kurtis was not ordinary - - - he had a different mindset. That evening Kurtis and Brenda loaded up the kids, went to dinner and the movies. When her son needed anything Kurtis would take care of him. When he needed to use the restroom, he picked him up out of his wheelchair, took him and brought him back. The kids loved Kurtis. At the end of the evening, Brenda knew this was the man she was going to marry and spend the rest of her life with. A year later, they were married and Kurtis adopted both of her children. Since then they have added two more kids. So what happened to Kurtis the stock boy and Brenda the check-out girl? Well, Mr. & Mrs. Kurt Warner now live in Arizona , where he is currently employed as the quarterback of the National Football League Arizona Cardinals and has his Cardinals in the hunt for a possible appearance in the Super Bowl. Is this a surprise ending or could you have guessed that he was not an ordinary person. It should be noted that he also quarterbacked the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI. He has also been the NLF's Most Valuable Player twice and the Super Bowl's Most Valuable Player. We're going to the SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully your Bishop will have the code, Shirley, unless he got the free trial. Then you definitely would have to pay to keep it. Unless you have a lot of programs & stuff that wasn't on it when bought, you might be better off to do a restore. You need to ask your Bishop if all the programs that are on there came with the PC or if he added anything. If he didn't add, then they would all still be there. You might try emailing Microsoft support & ask them if there's a way to go back to XP. Well, gotta get some sleep. I have to take Jeannie to her eye doctor's appointment early tomorrow. She had lasik eye surgery today, so she's not able to see to drive yet. She's having to keep her eyes closed until they heal. Maybe by tomorrow evening, she will be able to open them. Nite!
