When he gets up to pee he turns it back on.. I do feel for him though as he is losing his hair and I guess that is not pleasant with the cold hitting it.. 2. You know what .. Nakai and I were watching the history channel last week I think it was and it was about the Mayans and the person talking was saying that according to the Mayan calendar in 2012 a great catastrophe is going to happen.. Nakai keeps saying the yr 2010 is the year it will happen..One thng for sure I think all of us will agree is that we are at the signs of the times. Or do you? I got my wash done today and got a meatloaf in the oven and taters boiling for mashed taters.? will have a tossed salad to go with all that and I had some left over coconut flakes left over from Christmas and made one of those impossible coconut pies.. its baking right along with the meatloaf.? My night to make what I enjoy as last night I made teriaki for Nakai.. He had a sandwich from the one piece left over from supper last night for a late lunch.. How do ya'll make your meat loaf?? I was watching a tv show and the restaurant guy was making his mealloaf that all the customers liked and I wrote down the recipe and to try out.?. very simple to make..(well isn't all meatloaf LOL) I did do mine a little different as I used some ground pork along with the hamburger.. meatloaf .. hamburger/ground pork chopped celery/onion cooked till tender garlic powder salt/pepper crumbled saltine crackers ( they used bread crumbs I used what I had on hand) 2 eggs Mix all together and form into an oval shape?or however you shape your meatloaf .. about 10-15 minutes before it comes out of the oven?spread some catsup over top and sides and back in the oven it goes till till time to remove.? Nakai was raised on meatloaf with campbell vegetable soup added in.. Since writing the above we have eaten and settled down for our night of what ever will be will be..? My kids are nagging me to get on the NA dawes rolls and hunt up an ancestor..most of my Cherokee people ran for the hills when ol Andrew Jackson caged them up and made them walk that long trail of tears with smallpox infested blankets that the US military issued to them.. It was initially believed that they could have caught the disease through fleas on rats attracted by poor living conditions in their forest hideout. But there are now claims the cell was developing the disease as a weapon to use against western cities. Experts said that the group was developing chemical and biological weapons. Dr Igor Khrupinov, a biological weapons expert at Georgia University, told The Sun: "Al-Qaeda is known to experiment with biological weapons. And this group has direct communication with other cells around the world. "Contagious diseases, like ebola and anthrax, occur in northern Africa. It makes sense that people are trying to use them against Western governments." Dr Khrupinov, who was once a weapons adviser to the Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev, added: "Instead of using bombs, people with infectious diseases could be walking through cities." It was reported last year that up to 100 potential terrorists had attempted to become postgraduate students in Britain in an attempt to use laboratories. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to DOWN-HOME-CHATTER-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Hey Shirley, I've never seen canned chicken or hamburger. I've had soup that was canned with hamburger in it, but I thought the hamburger tasted tough. Didn't like it. Prefer to can soup and then add hamburger when I get ready to eat it. Everyday I take a short walk to the? mail box and it was very pleasant to me..cool yes but I just wore a long sleeved sweatshirt ..We got snow and ice here,? I can see the dangers with the snow and ice.. one thing I learned is to make sure the pantry and refrig is full in case you get snowed in.? I always try to keep a good supply of canned stuff and thank goodness right before we had the heavy snow storm I got us milk to last.. Charles, I know you do canning and I went to a class that was on food preparedness and saw for the first time a mason jar with canned hamburger, chicken.? Since we no longer have a place to do gardening I will just rely on going to farmers market this summer .. Anyway.. take care and aloha to your family. 3. Shirley H, I looked out this morning and we had a huge frost (not grinning) this was to be a warm up day for us temp in 60's. It was 18 when I woke and I don't think it ever got that warm Sun did shine. very pretty. I have had to start the logs in the fireplace every day for the last two weeks. Grandson checked the heat pump today because it didn't seem to be working. It is over 20 years old so we knew we were going to have to buy a new one. Larry lQQked in the breaker box for some reason and the heat pump had kicked a breaker and hear I had about froze for almost two weeks. Now, with a break in the cold and the heat pump working full capacitiy I'm burning up. Sure glad we didn't have to add a heat pump to the budget!!!!!!!!!!!!!
