And my stepmom had the modern convience of a washing machine..the wringer type.? And that same grandmother used a long wooden box to store blocks of ice as her refrigeration.? She had a well right next to her back porch and an outhouse as well.. I hated that smelly outhouse!? Thought my fanny was too good to sit on that wooden potty when I was visiting her.? June, I am a registered democrat but after watching it go so liberal have mostly voted Republican. I have always voted for the person that voices what I believe in. ie don't believe in abortion, don't believe in gay rights, don't believe in abolishing religion, don't believe in giving in to terrorist which seems to be where we are headed. Don't believe in letting one person dictate what we can and cannot do, (Madaline OHara) so it all depends on the person as to what I am. Wasn't that the mode of transportation way back in our olden days when life was simpler than it is today in our space age days.. I can remember my McCartha grandmother on her farm way back yonder days outside?with a huge kettle full of hot water, boiling her clothes and stirring them with a long stick.? And my stepmom had the modern convience of a washing machine..the wringer type.? And that same grandmother used a long wooden box to store blocks of ice as her refrigeration.? She had a well right next to her back porch and an outhouse as well.. I hated that smelly outhouse!? Thought my fanny was too good to sit on that wooden potty when I was visiting her.? I sure did love her feather bed though!? She had a big cast iron stove as well. I liked this one, Dot JO.........................Sam 'F R O G' we all need one I do hope this returns to ME the sender! Isn't the little green guy sort of cute? I was told a story about a lady in the hospital who was near death when an area Chaplain came to visit her. This Chaplain was a very young female with long blond hair. She listened to the lady who was ill and left her a small gift for comfort It was a tiny ceramic frog. The next day one of the people from the lady's church came to visit.. The lady told her friend about the beautiful young Chaplain who had come to visit her. The friend was so impressed with the way the lady had improved and felt the need to talk to the young Chaplain. In her search to find the young gal, she was repeatedly assured that the chaplains are never very young and that there was never a gal that fit the description given. Upon returning to the lady in the hospital, a visiting nurse entered the room and noticed the ceramic frog. The nurse made the comment 'I see you have a guardian angel with you,' as she held the little frog. We asked why she made the comment and we were informed that the frog stood for: (F) Forever (R) Rely (O) On (G) God You have been Tagged by the Froggy, which means you are a great friend!! You will BE BLESSED For Two Years if you send this to 4 people or more. Friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to DOWN-HOME-CHATTER-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

I've never seen a tornado but David was telling us when they were leaving Indiana and were in that area they drove right into a tornado,? He pulled the van underneath a bridge tunnel or something like that and said trees, house parts were flying all over the place.? It scared me to death thinking that van could have been swooshed away and all of them dead.? Thy arrived in Vancouver safe and with many prayers on my part. Bad news makes NEWS and you wonder what the world thinks when they watch our media ... no one sees the good things about the USA.. except for the piolet that saved all those people on the plane.. more of that needs to be shown ..Instead they see the crooks on Wall St and poor old Bush being crucified even as he left the office.? What a terrible way to show what democracy is all about..He had his faults but not to the degree he was dealt. thats my 2 cents.
