Jenny, I can't understand for the life of me why we should show them compassion. Look at what they did in Iraq beheaded people.slaudered over a 1/2 million people. why should we show campassion?? I know I know it's the Christian way. but didn't Christ give David the stone and slingshot to kill Goliath? Seems like he didn't approve of them. Karen, you are in my prayers. My daughter has always used her 4 boys against me. She talks about me like I'm the worst mother there ever was. Yet, I do more for her than anyone else does and am always there when she needs me until I get enough of her stupid BS! My oldest grandson will be 18 yrs. old tomorrow and hallelujah! I've been waiting for this day for 18 yrs.! She called David and me while we were in another town "trying" to celebrate our 27th anniversary, just to gripe and throw her weight around. First she told me that all the kids were coming to spend the night with me except DJ, the oldest. ( I might add without asking me if I wanted to keep any of them) When I went along with that, she called back and said that I HAD to come get DJ that he couldn't stay there because he had told her off. I told her that I couldn't come get any of them, that I was in Albany celebrating my anniversary with David! He's here with us now. She finally realized that you can lead the horse to the water but you can't make him drink it. She has been living off his disability check, spending it on drugs and that no good husband of hers (until lately). He's had to be her babysitter and housekeeper and doesn't know the meaning of having a dollar in his pocket and he is going to be 18 tomorrow! Now she won't let the 13 yr. old come around me, saying that his behavior gets worse when he's around me. Well, he's been in alternative school for the last 3 yrs. and then even got kicked out of that. Since he's been here, he's out of alternative school as of this semester for the first time in over 3 years! I was taking care of him most of that time. I had him for 3 weeks before she even came here from AR. The Lord will work it out for us, but it surely does hurt and wrecks about all of your peace of mind, if you don't pray especially hard. Love, Jinnye Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless! --- On Sun, 1/25/09, krmarable@usa2net.net <krmarable@usa2net.net> wrote: From: krmarable@usa2net.net <krmarable@usa2net.net> Subject: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] hello To: "down-home-chatter" <down-home-chatter@rootsweb.com> Date: Sunday, January 25, 2009, 6:12 PM I would like to say I'm sorry for not being around. He pulled the van underneath a bridge tunnel or something like that and said trees, house parts were flying all over the place.? It scared me to death thinking that van could have been swooshed away and all of them dead.? Thy arrived in Vancouver safe and with many prayers on my part. We had a cellar that was dug down in the ground, dirt walls & floor, we had a lantern for light, my dad was scared to death of those storms, was always on the lookout for clouds, and it seemed sometimes like we spent half of our lives running back and forth between the house, and the storm cellar..
