Yes Shirley, Larry played with a band in High School, he had a country group and played on stage at a movie theater in town every Saturday evening. They he gave that up after we got married ,too much running here there and yonder to places he wouldn't let me go to, did some gigs in prisons which no way would I go to even if he wanted me to go which he didn't and formed a Gospel group. They sang for a lot of the churches almost once a week. Then his hands got so crippled up with Uncle Aurthor that he couldn't play anymore. Wish I had some of their music for you to hear. He played Chet Atkins style. I like little baby cats ..not grown up ones.. Man that house must have smelled to high heaven!! I like little dogs and I mean little dogs.. If we move (wishy washy Nakai can't make up his mind) I am going to the humane society and see if there are any toy dogs ..like a yorkie.and bring him/her home with me.. those dogs are fixed so no babies from them.. Dot Jo, regarding jobs.. When he came home he wanted to give us some money from his temp security job.. I told him he better hold on to that money for gas but he wouldn't listen so gave his dad some anyway, I saw on some group I am on that was warning everyone to stock up on food/water/and other necessary items cause right now the grocery store shelves are full but may not be later on or else cost so much no one can buy any. I wasn't able to get my pressure canner cause Nakai knocked off the side view mirror on the car and poof went my canner.. Now I can survive on pinto/navy beans and some cornbread but Nakai and David would starve to death before eating that kind of food.. so I am stocking up on Saimin (ramin to u) and peanut butter and jelly/ spam for sure to make their spam musubi..and gotta have their RICE! Right now my cupboards are full and over flowing but the way things are going the ecomony you never know whats ahead. Right!! Well, tonight I got Nakai's little CD on my computer.. Listening to it ..I remember the day we did that on the little incredimail recorder that would record just to almost 2 minutes and I was listening to the last song Welcome to my World and it got cut off right at the end. And he had the ukulele too close to the mike so you hear more strumming with his voice in the background of some songs.. But I treasure this CD!! Now I didn't know Larry sang/played with a group! Dot Jo, I am not a cat lover either. A woman another sister from our church and I visit.. well you could call her the CAT LADY.. she is single and has at least 9 now.. They are her family I guess.. Oh, Marilyn.  I hope none of those poor strays get this.  They die a terrible, painful death...............I hate to see strays.   I had to stop feeding them, and it just broke my heart.   People in town, bring the animals they don't want and drop them out here.  Poor things don't know what to do....................we have taken many to the pound, hoping for adoption.  Pound will only take 4 animals a year from the same household.   There are many, many more out here.   We have found homes for some, but everyone we know, just can't take any more animals...................I feel so sorry for those animals.   I would actually like to treat the owners the way they do their pets, and see how they would like it...........a couple of years ago, someone dropped a mother dog and about 7 puppies.  It was snowing like mad when I spotted them.  I had gone out for the mail.  Told Jim about them, and we went to get them and at least give them shelter in the garage , but couldn't find them.   That was just plain cruel to put these animals out like this.................don't understand how people can do this..............think it would be kinder to just shoot them.   Well, your brother was old enough to know better.   I don't blame your sister.  Your brother just sounds like he was plain mean.....she shouldn't have gotten in trouble for beating brother with the broom.   I don't see how she could be blamed..........Did he grow up to be a better brother?   I sure hope so.................   .You are a night owl too tonight.   We just had a tornado scare, and I haven't calmed down enough to sleep.  Jim is fast asleep.   I told him until we get the all clear, I am not going to bed.    This was a bad one tonight, the tornado touched down about 3 miles from us...............I can only imagine what outside looks like.   I just got the mess cleaned up from the last weird storm........I think if it is a war zone again outside, it is going to stay that way until fall cleanup.   I am just too tired, and the heat really zaps me to do this again................lol.............I told my daughter that tonight, and she said you know you will clean it up again.   I said I know........couldn't stand looking at it.......................Have a restful Night Marilyn.............think we just got the all clear, so I am going to try and get some rest..................love, ......sam. Dot Jo, I had never heard of it either.   The Bobcat has the parasite, and the tick feeds off the bobcat.  It drops off, and apparently goes through another stage before it hitchhikes to another animal.   It only affects cats.   Trouble was bitten by one, the vet said it didn't stay on her, and I couldn't see why it got on her in the first place, she is well protected from fleas and ticks..............none the less, she is one sick kitty...............we are going down in the morning and take her some more of her favorite foods, hopefully she will be ready to eat a little ..................Vet said Trouble is the 5th case in two weeks, one died, and 2 are still in the animal hospital,   Up until this year there was no treatment nor cure.  If caught early enough they can survive.   She thinks Trouble's was caught in time............Ticks are the worse here since 1998, according to the vet.........we spray everything that humans and the animals  go, going to keep on spraying , maybe between all the rains we have had, weakened the pesticides................sam. Marilyn, Bob cats carry the parasite in their blood, and ticks feed off the bobcats.  They drop off, and go through another stage, and another animal picks it up, and our cat was bitten by one.   Can't figure how, as she had flea and tick control on, but one bite is all it takes.  It only affects cats.   I had never heard of this either until now.   Until this year, there has been no cure for it.   One of the drugs that is used is given to humans for yellow fever.........I think I would have killed my brother if he did that to me.   I am petrified of snakes, and to fall in the toilet. I was always scared of the outhouse anyway.  YUK !   that would definitely be a good reason to do him in.  I was so glad when Dad finally got running water into the bathroom........ Sam. Sam, I cleaned house from top to botten today also and washed clothes and hung them out trying to beat the rains. Make it!!!! It has been cloudy here all day but no rain guess we got it all last night 2 inches in 15 minutes. But rain for the next 5 days.Can't believe it but garden is looking real good. We lost our dog yesterday. She was 13 years old had been hit by cars 3 times once we thought she was dead but was able to pull her thought this was last Summer. We didn't take her to vet because she was so bad off and so old we felt it was best to just let her go. She has had a good long life for the shape she was in now. Do you need a kitten? Have three and Larry didn't want any. He does not like cats. Granddaughter brought him one she found in the church parking lot (Dufus). another granddaughter got one for her birthday and its took up here(Socks) and someone dropped one here ( Ebony solid black) So we are cat poor in addition to money poor.Plus I'm dog sitting for our son, plus SIL dog makes hisself at home here and we have a dog!!!!!Thank goodness they all like tablescraps. Hard enough buying food for the humans here. Our SIL was put on temperary disablility for 2 weeks( dr.wants him on perment disablility, because of his lungs) but he refuses) when he went back to work at the end of the 2 weeks he was permently laid off.
