Marilyn: I remember you telling about your brother!! What a mean thing to do to you and your sissies!! The only outhouse I can remember was my dad's mothers farm house with the outhouse.. I am sure there was one in those Fork Mountain ,TN miners houses just too young to remember. But I do remember the sears catalog and the smelly toilet! But at least it was a place to go to take care of business..Bet it was terrible winter time to walk out in that cold to take a pee or other! We are so fortunate these days for all the modern things we have to make us comfortable.. washing machines/dryers/ dishwashers/ air conditioners/ to mention a few. A friend of mine from another group I am on sent me some hen and chick plants and they are growing really good.. three hens but no chicks yet LOL I have them in a cool whip container but going to move them to a bigger container later on.. I also have a twig of an ivy plant growing in a little coffee cup.. I hope it takes .. used rootone and stuck it in the soil in the cup.. I also have three baby spider plants I am hoping survive.. so far they are looking good! My 2 trailing African Violets are getting BIG and soon I am going to have to find more space for my plants as they mature.. like the asparagus fern and Christmas Cactus.. David is spending the week end at his sister Maile's place and that's a good thing for both of them.. He misses the girls and he enjoys the kids company.. SAM, They quickly become one of the family. Our other dog is completely lost with out her sister. She just goes around looking so sad. The stray cat has taken up with Larry and follows every move he makes. We have a lot of Bobcats around here & a lot of wild stray cats that just keep having litter after litter. Hope they get it so they will not be able to try to dig up my flower gardens He was born in 1933 & I was born in 1942 so there was quite a difference in our ages, One of my older sisters beat him with the broom because she had just swept & mopped then he came in the door with mud & pasture poop on his boots. Sam, how did your cat get Bobcat Fever????????? Never heard of it. Maybe it's because I hate cats. My brother brought that on when I was little. I mean age 3. He would open the outhouse door & throw big black in on us girls. One time I fell in & was hanging by my knees & arm pits. I was only 4 when he did that to me, He got his butt bear with the razor strap, well he didn't just throw cats he started throwing snakes in on us, My daddy got in on the whipping & he still didn't stop. He was a mean big brat but I wish he was still around to hug not.
