Yesterday the contents of all boards on the server simply vanished. Our SysAdmin has been digging through the server and here is his brief description of what happened: "A web based exploit of a popular piece of software was used to delete most of the files associated with the message boards. Recovery of the deleted files is not possible. Restore from an old (~90 days) backup is possible. No ETA for restoring any sort of message board functionality." USGenNet will be without message boards until such time as our SysAdmin is able to get the necessary files restored, and any posts received since our last backup approximately 90 days ago, are gone forever unless you happened to back them up manually to your own computers. At this point, all any of us can do is just go forward from here and learn from our experience. My apologies to you all for the loss and inconvenience. Hey everybody, cut it out!!!! I thought this was a laid-back, relaxed group. Now, here's all this talk about WORK??? You're making me feel guilty. I didn't do anything yesterday except run the weedeater and go pick up a bag of sunflower seed for the bird feeder. Now, I did my part last week. We had Vacation Bible School at church and I'm part of the kitchen crew. We served a meal every night to an average of 103 people. Sun. night, we had pinto beans, fried potatoes, cornbread; Mon. night it was chili; Tue. night it was hotdogs; Wed. night we had tacos; Thur. night was the all-time favorite; we cooked breakfast. We had scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, plain gravy, chocolate gravy. On Fri. night, we got a break. Some of the guys grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, and sliced pork. Everybody brought food to finish out the meal. We didn't have to bother with dessert each night. The ladies of the church brought desserts. I'm not planning to do much this week. Just need to rest up a little. Going to donate blood today. If I can donate today, that will make 5½ gallons. I've been donating for several years. Joyce

Sure was glad to see her we had a nice little visit in the middle of the road. Several members of her family had passed away and she didn't know, including my mom. THEN, about 12 grandson informed me he had to leave for work in an hour. Fixed his lunch,packed his dinner then got a call daughters well had gone out. So left everything and Larry and I took off up there to help with that. They got that fixed so I pulled weeds around her flower beds while she took baby for it's shots. Came home, washed luncheon dishes, gathered in clothes, mopped kitchen took a shower and am relaxing before folding clothes and putting them away. Have to can beets tomorrow. No, just felt wonderful this morning, and I love the early part of the day.......I went through so much work, so fast, it surprised me.........sounds like your day was just as full as mine.   I love days like this, when you look back and see what you have done, I just love working outside, and always feel good when I do.............It is the high humidity, not the heat, that does me in.................didn't get to finish hand mowing , but will get up early and get that out of the way tomorrow................I have lots to do, no question about that..........Have to get the side area ready for gravel , hopefully, by friday.   Have to see what the vet bill is going to be , before I order any out here......................might have to wait for a couple of weeks.  Have a great evening........................hugs, sam Well now Sam,  Are you trying to show off??????  he he Don't think I can keep up with that today.  Didn't get all I wanted to do today but there is tomorrow after Larry's MRI. LOL  I had my usual cup of Java this morning, didn't comb my hair just put on bathing suit and a pair of shorts and joined Larry for the usual lawn mowing ordeal.  He mows I clip!!!! Run inside every few minutes to grab a load of clothes and put them on the line. Here I sit in the middle of the yard clipping away when up pulls this big white truck. Lady gets out and asks are you aunt Sallie's daughter?  It was a first cousin I hadn't seen in about 40 years with her nephew whom I hadn't seen since he was tiny!!!! Sure was glad to see her we had a nice little visit in the middle of the road.  Several members of her family had passed away and she didn't know, including my mom.  THEN, about 12 grandson informed me he had to leave for work in an hour. Fixed his lunch,packed his dinner then got a call daughters well had gone out.  So left everything and Larry and I took off up there to help with that.  They got that fixed so I pulled weeds around her flower beds while she took baby for it's shots.  Came home, washed luncheon dishes, gathered in clothes, mopped kitchen took a shower and am relaxing before folding clothes and putting them away. Have to can beets tomorrow.
