    1. Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] age and doctor
    2. Great!! I have had two biopsies on my right breast and was having to go every 6 months then he told me just a yearly check. I had no problem with the first time they stuck that long wire in my boob but the 2nd time was pure hell! That danged little chinese or Japanese doctor never got it in the right place took 7 times to get it right and my breast was covered with blood. My surgeon was wonderful though.. To: [email protected]; [email protected] Sent: Thursday, June 4, 2009 9:24:54 AM Subject: FW: On the first day.... Randy PM "Start each day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude" On the first day, God created the dog and said: 'Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years.' The dog said: 'That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?' So God agreed. On the second day, God created the monkey and said: 'Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span.' The monkey said: 'Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the Dog did?' And God agreed. On the third day, God created the cow and said: 'You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.' The cow said: 'That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years... How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?' And God agreed again. On the fourth day, God created humans and said: 'Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years.' But the human said: 'Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?' 'Okay,' said God, 'You asked for it.' So that is why for our first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone. Life has now been explained to you. 3. Jenny, I have so much happening in my life right now, if I didn't stay busy I don't know what would happen about stress .    I cannot , live like that, I am always busy , and I love helping others, my problems are small compared to some................House work, never bothered me, I love making my home look nice.     It is just automatic with me.  I get up and do what needs to be done inside, then I am out the door...............lol...........always something..........love you, sam. Sam , you are so right, you can't think of your worries and you can't think of your pain so much if you stay busy.....Life is so much better when you have something to do....However housework is no fun...No matter which room we are talking about....It's a nessary evil......Jenny   ----- Original Message -----   From: Sam Loudermilk<mailto:[email protected]>   To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>   Sent: Tuesday, June 16, 2009 5:10 PM   Subject: Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] Sam   WOW ! Does that ever sound familiar. I am not the oldest. My sister that came down is 25 months older, then an older brother almost 5 years older. I use to do my brothers work, and he would pay me to do the yards, or whatever dad told him to do.........He didn't like work either..................my younger sister is just like I am. Never stops.....she and I use to go to moms all the time, and do her house and yards, when both mom and dad just couldn't do it any longer. My older sister would always show up just as we were leaving, and the next day, like you, the house was a mess again....................never understood that, but don't try to anymore. I am happy we did for mom and dad, and would do it all over again, if they    were still with us..................but, like you, not going to help if my sister can help herself................I think she is aging, because she isn't that active. She wouldn't even take a walk around the grounds, said the hills were too high.........Hmmm? I only have a huge hill on the side, and hadn't planned on taking her up there. I do worry about her, as I don't think Physically , she is doing that hot. I did talk her into having a physical. As of last tuesday, she was going to call her Dr. Haven't heard back yet. Baby sister said you all are crazy   working your a-- off for nothing. Mom was like Larry with the bone on bone   in both knees and couldn't hardly get around. Didn't get all I wanted to do today but there is tomorrow after Larry's MRI. LOL I had my usual cup of Java this morning, didn't comb my hair just put on bathing suit and a pair of shorts and joined Larry for the usual lawn mowing ordeal. He mows I clip!!!! Run inside every few minutes to grab a load of clothes and put them on the line. Here I sit in the middle of the yard clipping away when up pulls this big white truck. Lady gets out and asks are you aunt Sallie's daughter? It was a first cousin I hadn't seen in about 40 years with her nephew whom I hadn't seen since he was tiny!!!! Sure was glad to see her we had a nice little visit in the middle of the road. Several members of her family had passed away and she didn't know, including my mom. THEN, about 12 grandson informed me he had to leave for work in an hour. Fixed his lunch, packed his dinner then got a call daughters well had gone out. So left everything and Larry and I took off up there to help with that. They got that fixed so I pulled weeds around her flower beds while she took baby for it's shots. Came home, washed luncheon dishes, gathered in clothes, mopped kitchen took a shower and am relaxing before folding clothes and putting them away. Have to can beets tomorrow. 3. Ladies, I can't tell you how important it is to have a complete check up every year.  Labs, heart lungs, pap, pelvic, mammogram, chest film, and EKG.............I am glad you are going to have yours Shirley H.  I know Dot Jo recently had a check-up, and Jenny, you need to get in for a pap and Mammogram.   I thought you had all of this done.................remember , if something does occur, they can trace it within the year it started with regular check ups....This is preventitive medicine....it is really , extremely important....................sam. Now I haven't had a pap test in about 6-7 years.. everytime I would make an appointment and go the Nurse practioner didn't show up.. 3. We stayed in Norman when we came down to Oklahoma to pick our son up. I saw a "wild" hog when we were in Fla. years ago. Lady had it for a pet, lived in the house with her drank beer out of a beer can just like a human. ugly things. This was 2 huge ones, they are really mean. Jim had gone to do the marketing, and I didn't get the bullets in the gun fast enough. I don't think I could have killed them if I tried....................one of our neighbors about half a mile away, killed two, just a few days later. I am assuming those were the ones down here.........................They can be really scarey.........................sam Sam, Where are you? We have lots of trouble with wild hogs here in Texas too. I like to keep my body busy, and just think of the pleasant things, I don't stress out near as much, if I am busy. Mom always use to say, if you don't slow down you are going to kill yourself..............I thought to myself, if I don't stay busy, I probably wouldn't last long. My older sister, is completely the opposite. She does what she has to do and that is all. She told me when she was down her weekend before last, who does all the yards and gardens? I told her I did, She thinks I 'm nuts, but I love it so..................she invited me up to work in her yards. lol.............told her I would help out in a flash if she wasn't able to but she has 2 strong boys staying with them, and I know they help out...........................When I was so ill, it almost killed me to watch all my hard work just go unchecked. Jim did what he could, but he never liked doing yard work........ He thinks all you have to do is mow....................and he did his best for the year I couldn't do it, then I finally hired someone to do my gardens, and the next day was the day the wild pigs came and pulled everything up in my freshly cleaned gardens. I was so angry I cried................sam Shirley H. you aand I are the same age, I'm like Sam I can't be still. I have heard it's nervous energy I'm best when I am working. 2. Hey, the color of my computer screen as well as AOL has changed .. it was fine this morning but right at the moment it is pink on the top left all the way down to the bottom and across.. I was scared and thought I might have a virus so I ran both McAFEE and that new antivirus that Dot Jo told us about.. nothing showed up wrong.. What could it be and how to fix it? Top right corner is blue as it should be.. on the desktop the icon for AOL is pink.. Shirley H **************An Excellent Credit Score is 750. See Yours in Just 2 Easy Steps! We got Hugo about 3 times before he finally left Fl for other climes......He acted like he never knew where he was going or where he had been....Just get cleaned up from him and here he would come again.....Most of our hurricanes go up North when they are through with us...Some though stay on the coast.....Ky, Tenn, Ga, the Carolinas, and W Va and Va get them most....Jenny Anne ----- Original Message ----- From: Sam Loudermilk<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, June 16, 2009 2:59 PM Subject: Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] Dot Jo Dot Jo, believe me, I WATCH the storms very carefully.......or so I thought. That storm friday night kinda came upon us, with no warning. My older daughter called to see if we were ok, just as I was going to get in the shelter. Never dreamed that an F2 had touched down,, and was on the ground for over 10minutes, moving right in the field behind her house. Blake , our grandson, came flying out of the den , telling his mom a shed just flew past the window. When I was over there sunday, I could not believe the damage. Daughter only had her fences blown down, but her neighbors on both sides of her, lost parts of roofs, trees uprooted and missing, brick torn off the house on her right side. Much more damage to the farmer behind her, part of his house was blown away.......many more blocks took a big hit...daughter, had a trampoline and a slip and slide on her front lawn, and roof of her house..............I felt bad, because I thought both she and our other daughter were safe. In 1999, same thing happened there, the sirens didn't go off. There was a delay of exactly 15 minutes. Both times 99' and friday, was too late to take cover. It is a wonder no one was killed. Serveral injured, but with no warning, our Lord was certainly watching over them. SAM Marilyn you and Sam, watch them storms seems you are getting a lot of tornado's out your way. They seem to be coming closer to our area this year. We had one "Hugo" several years ago but that is the only one in our area that I know about.
