    3. Shirey H.  They don't take care of the bill.  Either you pay it, or they will deduct it from is check............................we shelled out twice this year over 300.00.   wasn't easy, but didn't want this coming out of Jim's check either..........If you haven't gotten a financial form, you need to contact VA , monday morning, as everytime hubby gets refills, they will charge you for it, also interest.  Our interest was 9.88 /mth, plus meds...............that is what they have done to us, I am sure it is the same everywhere Shirley....................sam. Shirley H.  That is what happened here.   Walmart comes in, and just about destroys every business in retail and food......................lots of people like  walmarts for the jobs they provide..........however, they are about the lowest paying place to work...............don't think that is so great.................they also supply the majority of their retail from China.......don't like that either......Wish all the kids were going to wish Nakai a good Father's day tomorrow at the BBQ.    These kids, just don't seem to think.   It is ok to have disaggremets , just end it, and don't drag a grudge forever.  My sisters family does this all the time.............Time is so short for all of  us  to waste it this way................Have a wonderful time SHirley.   Wish we had some of your cool temps.   Looks like summer is here to stay.   we have been in the high 90's for the last week and a half, and I am already for Fall...............never liked the heat/humidy here, it really zaps me...........Had to come in today, as I was so hot.   Didn't finsh mowing.  Going to go back out after 6 and try and finish...................I can usually make it, but today, this heat really affected me.......sam Our K mart is being outdone with 3 walmarts and targets.. I went in K Mart  not long ago and saw they do lay a ways.. something wal mart did away with..I'm  thinking Christmas stuff lay a ways..Well tomorrow we are going over to Maile's  at 3 for a bbq for Nakai's father day thing.. Keala and Paul aren't coming cause  Paul and David got into it and Paul isn't speaking to David..Keala will come  over Sunday after church to visit with her dad..It has been a chilly day today..  I have closed the living room window and put on a sweatshirt.. Now, with less fighting defense think we are just stunning  them. Black ants are horrible this year. We had a line of them this morning,  from a tree , across our back deck, up the side of the house to our  Hummingbird feeder that is on a shepard's pole in my flower garden.........Jim  turned the water on, to activate the granules he put out yesterday. 3. Jenny, I didn't mean to say Walmarts.   It is K-Mart we don't have here anymore...........If you find any before I do, let me know.  Otherwise I think I am going to call an exterminator..............these are terrible.......................I noticed , this morning, in my topsy turvy, 2 birds are trying to build a nest in the top of one of them..................gosh, don't these critters, and insects ever give up ?   lol.............going to have to put some screen on the tops of them to keep the birds out..............my tomatos are doing great in them............love ,sam. Ortho spray will kill them back  some but not like this Grants stuff....You put a spike out every 15 feet around your house.....Haven't seen any since I put them out a couple of weeks ago.....Jenny   ----- Original Message -----   From: Sam Loudermilk<mailto:[email protected]>   To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>   Sent: Friday, June 19, 2009 12:55 AM   Subject: Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] Tick removal   Jenny, all the granules, and sprays HAS NOT KILLED THE BLACK ANTS. I use to do my brothers work, and he would pay me to do the yards, or   whatever dad told him to do.........He didn't like work   either..................my younger sister is just like I am. Never   stops.....she and I use to go to moms all the time, and do her house and   yards, when both mom and dad just couldn't do it any longer. My older sister   would always show up just as we were leaving, and the next day, like you,   the house was a mess again....................never understood that, but   don't try to anymore. I am happy we did for mom and dad, and would do it all   over again, if they   were still with us..................but, like you, not going to help if my   sister can help herself................I think she is aging, because she   isn't that active. I told her when she was down here, she needed to get up   and move. She said her leg hurt, her back hurt, she was dizzy, she had a   headache.....................I told her it was probably the 5 hour car ride   getting down here, and she REALLY NEEDED to get her circulation moving. She   wouldn't even take a walk around the grounds, said the hills were too   high.........Hmmm? I only have a huge hill on the side, and hadn't planned   on taking her up there. I do worry about her, as I don't think Physically ,   she is doing that hot. I did talk her into having a physical. As of last   tuesday, she was going to call her Dr. Haven't heard back yet. She was the   one that cried the loudest , when mom and dad passed.....................   Sam   Sam, I wonder if that comes from being the oldest, I have a baby sister   that is the same way. My middle sister and I would set days and go out and   Spring clean my mom's house every year. The daughter next to me was in Pa.   and just come home to visit each year. Baby sister said you all are crazy   working your a-- off for nothing. Mom was like Larry with the bone on bone   in both knees and couldn't hardly get around. So a week after we had   cleaned you couldn't tell it hardly, but at least it started off clean. Mom   didn't like house work but outside work she was in heaven. milked cows,   chickens, worked the garden when she was able. hard worker before knees gave   out. But this daughter taught she was owed something and didn't do   anything. The one that cried the hardest and cause all the stink when mom   died. I'm with you I will HELP anyone but sure as heck not going to do it   and them sit back. Several members of her family had passed away and   she didn't know, including my mom. THEN, about 12 grandson informed me he   had to leave for work in an hour. Fixed his lunch, packed his dinner then   got   a call daughters well had gone out. So left everything and Larry and I   took   off up there to help with that. They got that fixed so I pulled weeds   around her flower beds while she took baby for it's shots. 3. Dot Jo. One of the first ones died, but the others are growing really fast, do you keep yours out in the flower beds, its so hot out here, I have mine under the patio, in the shade. We had a week or so of unusual weather out here, cooler than normal, which was great, it seems that sometimes we don't have spring but just a few days, and it jumps right into hot. Thank you. 2. Possum,I was looking at some old posts in a group I was on on Rootsweb and I told about the day we went to make the dreamcatchers..here it is.. shirley From: [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) Subject: [MEMORIES] Milly and shirley B Date: Sat, 15 Feb 2003 22:52:58 EST Went to the NA cultral Center at noon today..It was wayyy out in the fern forest. Went in the pouring down rain..when we got there they had put a tarp up over the tables and chairs.. I got an eye full when one of the women came out ..she had body piercing everywhere I looked..Gross! She said she is comanche indian..The others were cherokee/white. All were nice though..We had lunch first..chicken/squash dish and fry bread.. I made a pig of myself with fry bread. Then she, the comanche ,one brought out the stuff to make the dreamcatchers..the circle was made of a bent tree branch..It is BIG..about 5x the size of the dream catcher I already have. We used stripped deer hide to make the web?? and feathers for decoration ..I am going to add beads to mine..when I get to the store to buy some beads..The deer hide is white. Was a fun day. AND I found out was E Sutte means its grandmother. That name is linked to my Abey Easterd ..Cherokee 6x grandmother. I also found out about the headstone with the hand print and indian writing on it..It shows the ranking of that NA person..1 finger .2.finger,3 finger 4.finger 5fingers...this was the whole hand . **************Dell Days of Deals! 1. [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] Recipe
    2. Joyce
    3. Ladies, I got a great banana pudding recipe last week from a lady who brought it to Vacation Bible School. She says it's fine to use sugar-free and fat-free. She doubles the recipe for large gatherings. First, mix 1 (3.4oz) box Banana Cream instant pudding with 1½ cups milk (not 2) as the pkg. directs. Fold in 1 small tub Cool Whip. Set aside. Next, layer in a bowl, vanilla wafers, bananas, then pudding. Repeat layers ending with pudding on top. Garnish with a few crushed vanilla wafers. Store in refrigerator. Joyce
