    3. Jenny, That is the way the weather has been here in Mo. It is so humid that I can't breath outside. I got to hot yesterday evening & almost passed out before I got back in the house. All I was doing was watering my Topsy Turvy planters. Won't do that again. Poor Don that is one more thing he is going to have to do now. 3. Ladies, I have been trying my luck at making fried apple pies. ( I need a good old timey filling) My family has a fit over them. I made about 35 last week send 2some to work with him, after family got their share. He set them on the break table at work and sold them for $1.50 with in half an hour. Brought me $30.00 bucks back. Said they were begging for more. Shirley there is a way to make you some money as well as you love to cook. Have daughter just take them to work (If she can, some places won't let you) You can't price them or the health department will be down on you but she can suggest a price. I was shocked he sold them but people working are so hungry for home cooked food they will gobble them up. > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' > without the quotes in the > subject and the body of the message > > > **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. 3. Shirley Don't feel bad I still stare!!!!! All this is just now hitting us big time. We have always had some but not like other states have. With Va. Tech close by and all the different nationalities that attend, the store are now packed with them. As with the colored and the whites and the children of these marriages. To each his own, but it is so different than the way I was raised it is hard to get used to. You can go into a store over near Va.Tech and it sounds like the tower of Babal must have sounded. Or a bunch of geese. LOL Some are nice but most are arragant. btw glad to hear you have word of Jeff at least you know he is alive and well. 2. Ha ha thanks for this post.. You know when we got over here and I saw my FIRST Indian ( one from the middle east part of the world with the turban) I was so nosy to see what they wore etc..Nakai told me don't stare. But I did anyway. Because for the simple fact that the mainland has gotten a lot of nationalitities over here that weren't here when I was growing up.. nor do I recall seeing them when we were here just a short time back in the early 90's. My time.. there were white, blacks, Mexicans .. that was it..not that I begrudge them being here(as long as they are here legally) just strange to see them living in the USA. 1. Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] Marilyn
    2. Marilyn, You and I must be bobsy twins as I made MANGO bread at the request of son, David. Our family loves both banana and mango bread.. I have been on an eating mango trip for a good two months myself but I like it sliced and cold with salt sprinkled on top.. last summer it was watermelon! LOL Lucky your man could fix your microwave.. I sold my microwave when I had the garage sale before moving to WA and now have a walmart brand and it serves the purpose fine for me .. as I use it to warm stuff up etc. I was just rereading your post again and going back in time to when I was a young mother and wife .. having the baby and feeling so good to be "slim" again and how I enjoyed the treats that I received while at the hospital! Mostly though I enjoyed the memories of seeing my babies for the first time and checking to see if they had the ten fingers/ten toes etc.. and marveling at the creation of a babies body and how much Heavenly Father loves us all.. I had a C section with David.. normal with the others.. I remember when in labor with the first baby I called Nakai every name in the book! LOL I was in labor for 12 hrs and I know some have been in labor longer than that.. I assured Nakai that I was NOT going to let him get near me to do his dirty again!! LOL And look what happened had Keala in Oct 1964 and here comes Jeff in Dec 1965!! I did do preg prevention stuff but It didn't work too good.. Gads, how did I get on this subject!! Best sign off! 1. [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] How would you pronounce this child's name:
    2. Marilyn/Don Rickman
    3. How would you pronounce this child's name: "Le-a" Leah?? NO Lee - A?? NOPE Lay - a?? NO Lei?? Guess Again. This child attends a school in Detroit, MI.. Her mother is irate because everyone is getting her name wrong. It's pronounced "Ledasha", When the Mother was asked about the pronunciation of the name, she said, "the dash don't be silent." SO, if you see something come across your desk like this please remember to pronounce the dash. If they axe you why, tell dem da dash don't be silent.
