Boy, those canned biscuits are good for a lot of things!! I use them to make fry bread when I am not in the mood to make the dough from scratch.. I also use the canned biscuits to make doughnuts (which I am NOT supposed to be eating but do at times) I just went to my three southern cookbooks "Calling all Cooks" that my stepmom sent me way back when living on Maui.. I found fried apple pie recipes in all three books..We used to go to the bakeries on Maui and get them but they were called apple turnovers.. big buggers too !! We'd go get Manapua from a local chinese restaurant .. a dozen , then bakery to get the fried apple pies.. then head for the beach with our lunch all ready for us .. Now you got me talking about lunch stuff.. my favorite place (besides Sam Sato's) was a little ma and pop snack place just as you go into Kihei right across from the ocean.. Nakai and I would stop there first and get THE BEST chow fun and burgers and soda then drive across the street and park under a tree and enjoy lunch watching the kids swim and jumping off the pier.. PS thanks for telling me how you did your pies Shirley H ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message **************An Excellent Credit Score is 750.
