John Alexander Rutledge is the 2nd son of Thomas Rutledge b.06 Jun 1824 Ogonnelloe Parish, Co. Clare, Ireland & is the son of Thomas R. Rutledge & Elizabeth Taylor. Thomas married Ellen Armitage b. 16 Nov 1830 in Ireland & they had 11 children before Ellen passed on 09 Jul 1868. Thomas then married Hannah Major b. 1847 in Ireland & they had 6 children. As I said I'm not yet familiar with passing information on so would like to let you have access to my Ancestry.ca files. I've been doing lots of work with Ancestry this week & filling in blanks. I don't have parents of Ellen Armitage which I would like to locate & see if they are connected with other Armitage names listed further in my lines. Hope you can access the files as I sent you an invite. I haven't made the lines public as yet as I have living relatives listed along with photos & not sure how they feel about it.
