I am intrigued by your message but don't know if I can help. My DOWELLS, from whom my father was descended, were from Barwell in Leicestershire, England. I do have a note of an ANN DOWELL but she is born in 1787 so she is much too young. All I have is a note from IGI online. 10.4.03. Parents William and Sarah, which are names that run in my family. I don't have any other ANNs before this and do not recognise any of your surnames. I was an ANNE DOWELL so I'm particularly interested in the name. We visited Quebec about 20 years ago and I have very fond memories of that city. If you think I can help further, please let me know. Where did your DOWELLS come from?
