Ann, was the daughter of Henry Carmen Hodgins (1791 - 1868) and Sarah Colbert (1807 - 1881) I can trace Henry C's line back to the early 1500's' Sarah's line only back to her father who was a Morgan. Henry and Sarah had a large family (15 children). Henry and Sarah are my 4G Grandparents. I'm sorry I'm afraid I can't help you. This is the second message I have had about ANN DOWELL m to JOHN COLBERT. However, I am tracing my DOWELLs in Leicestershire, England, and do not yet know of any US connection. We go back to about 1300 in Leicester, though I can't find all the links to my branch. If you have any UK links to DOWELLs, I would be very glad to know about them and to exchange information.
