I will keep my eyes open for Simeon Dowell. I did not see his name anywhere in all of the Dowell's I have searched. My line of Dowell is John Dowell, married Mary Major, their son William married Miss Judah, their son married Sarah Sally Pickett, and their son married Mary Ann Riddell, their daughter Angeline Melinda Dowell, was my great grandmother. Angeline Melinda Dowell married James Spilvin Willis and their son, Luther Martin Willis was my grandfather. I believe the first John Dowell was born about 1708 in Albermarle Co., VA. All of the names makes your head spin sometimes, too many John's and William's. Angeline and James were both born in VA. their families moved to Lincoln Co., MO in the early 1850s. Simeon H. DOWELL is buried at Mike, Missouri.. I've been to his grave and have pics. His parents are said to be buried in Dowell Family Cemetery, Stith Valley, Meade Co., KY [William Harrison DOWELL and Nancy DOWELL].. has anyone seen these graves? All we have had is info sent to us, but have yet to find anyone that has been to their graves in Meade Co. Would love to have pics of stones, if anyone has them and is willing to help..
