He and other Dowell family members are buried in Moniteau Co., Mo. in Newkirk Cemetery. David was married to Mary Ann Brown. David's father was supposed to have been born in Virginia. The following Dowell members were buried in the Newkirk Cemetery. It would be super if someone can tell me the relationship of some of them to one another. They are: Alfred Dowell 8 June 1861-18 May 1862, Catherine Dowell 8 July 1866-11 July 1866, David C. Dowell 13 Nov. 1837-31 Mar. 1892, Eddie Dowell 25 Jan. 1892-9 Aug.1896, Elizabeth Dowell(no birth date) died 8 July 1870, Elizabeth Dowell(no dates listed), Jeremiah Dowell (no date listed), Laton Dowell born 4 May 1833(no death date), Leonard Dowell 25 Oct. 1883-24 Dec. 1897, Mary Ann Dowell 21 Jan. 1830-31 Jan.1892, Nancy M. Dowell 25 Dec. 1842-15 Apr. 1907, Walter R. Dowell! 18 Dec. 1865-21 Nov. 1884, William Dowell 10 Dec. 1862-11 Dec. 1862.
