I don't know of any of my Dowell branches going to MO but there's quite a bit I don't know about some of the descendents. I have both a Gooch and a Dowell line. This is out of North Carolina and Jackson and Putnam Co Tn. in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Some of these Dowell and Terry and Gooch descendents went to KY and MS and Ark as well as to Texas in the late 1800s. The way it goes is the Gooch line married into the Terry line and the Terrys married into my Dowells & vice versa...also some of these Goochs and Terrys married Clements and I noticed one of your given names was Clement. Wish I could help you more but you might start checking back on the Dowells of Jackson and Putnam Co, Tn and the Gooches in Granville Co NC and come up with something. If I find anything to help you more I will find you on the message board again. Maybe you will find out we are related some way and then we can help ! > each other. Good luck. > >
My grandfather was Albert Ova Dowell- I think his father was George Dowell- sound like the same?? His mother was a Sally Norton.
