DOVER should be Robert Short Dover, son of Jarrett Nelson Dover and Matilda M. Goodson said by some to be the son of Francis J. Dover. Jesse Green said in his 1912 autobiography that Francis J. Dover (referred to as Frank) "had six boys to wit: Johnson, NELSON, Benson, Anderson, Simpson and Thompson." My notes show that Robert & Mary Maxwell Inglis Dover also had children named Charlie, Eliza and Mariah. Wonder why the Bible record would not show those names? Mariah was apparently married to William Thomas Dover. Eliza was apparently married to a Ben Scott. I don't have anything on Charlie. Janelle brought up something else pretty interesting today which I'll respond to because it might have something to do with my family. Happy 4th ... let's remember all those who served in or supported the Revolution .... Francis, Joshua, Zephaniah and John and ? I can't find the reference to quote from, but a recent notice says that somebody recently found "boxes" of old military pension claims that nobody knew existed that go back to the Revolution. Them boxes sure got moved around a lot! Dennis
