    3. The following are two more good research tools for the Chattanooga area of Tennessee. The first is: Chattanooga Free Press Newspaper, which has their obituaries on line for I believe about two months at a time. It is updated to keep current, so you will maybe want to start at the oldest date first to make sure you don't miss any. As new ones are posted, some of the older ones are deleted. The link is: http://www.chatfreepress.com/obitsmain.html The second one is Chattanooga Bicentennial Library. You can search the library on line for holdings, and also they have a link to search through archives of old obituaries. I believe that database goes back to about 1870, but I am not sure of that. You cannot view the obituary, but in some cases it will give you a date to work with so you know if you might have a good lead on an ancestor. You can request for a fee copies of the original from them. I believe it is $5 for that. You could contact them by e-mail to confirm that information. The link is: http://www.lib.chattanooga.gov/ Please let me know if you have any trouble with these links. I tried to be careful in entering them. Sharon Dover Romanek
