Nebo Methodist Church was an active church during the Civil War and during this time a split occurred into North and South. Some of the parishioners formed Gates Chapel Methodist Church. Nothing remains of the site now except the cemetery where a number of the community's earliest settlers are buried. Georgia, take Ga. 52 (Chatsworth Hwy) west approximately Four miles to Gates Chapel Road on the right. Travel approximately 2 1/2 miles to a small narrow drive that angles off to the right.
