    3. Thanks Sharon. I was trying to figure out just how to address the post made questioning what I had submitted. I have found that the FHC information is a lot like the information you will find on Family Treemaker CD's it is submitted by well meaning people, but six different sources of information can have six different birth dates and locations. I noticed on one of the names from yesterday it looked like three of them could all be the same person and one of them listed one husband, and another listed two for the same lady, but it looked like it could have really been just one man, but then they had dates for both marriages on one submission.. There are a lot of discrepancies in what I find at the FHC. I only post just what the Ancestral File states, and hope that it will be a lead for someone to find out more information. Especially when there is a discrepancy. From what I have posted from the FHC, so far, I am more inclined to trust the Scottish Church records. I would think they could be a solid source for information gathering, although with them there is I am sure plenty of room for transposition, both my LDS people doing the actual transcriptions for original documents at the churches, the person transcribing it again for LDS records on the CD's and then by me in an effort to get it to the Dover list. I had one of the Family Treemaker CD's give in-accurate information about my great grandmother America Tennessee Shrader Dover. I have dug about as far as I can at this point, until I can find out if there are any birth or death records for her anywhere. I did last summer, get to visit her burial site, which was a thrill. I use to play within miles of it when I was little, but none of us ever knew she was there, or any of grandpa's family. My Dover side was very hush hush, so there was a lot I did not know. Hope this helps. Like I said, I have noticed a lot of discrepancies in the FHC information myself. I just post it to hopefull provide a lead for someone else. I was warned on my first trip to Family History Center not to take everything recorded as gospel. A lot of their data comes from actual recorded records, but a lot also comes from data submitted by other people just like us. I was told that some people submitted family data that they were not really sure of just to fill in family names. I was advised to verify information that was submitted by individuals for myself. This is a good example of just how different actual known facts and some of the submitted data can vary.
