Dennis, I checked the 1860 Indiana Census for Warrick County. Found the following: Page 951 #421 4a Nelson Baker 22 IN real $0 Personal $500 5a Independence Baker 23 IN 6a John S. Baker 3 IN 7a Clara E. Baker 1 IN 8a John Dover 70 IN real $2,400 Personal $500 This census definitely says John was born in Indiana, not Kentucky ?? Also page 903 #55 28a Charles Lucas 30 OH Fisherman personal $40 29a E. Jane 26 KY 30a Elizabeth 6 IN 31a John F. 9m IN The following is what I have in my records of a John Dover from Greene County, IN. John Dover born 1790 listed as a member of 71st Regiment Indiana Volunteers (Civil War). John had 4 children as pupils in 1825 in first school in Beech Creek Twp. John Dover married Sarah Stump in Brown Co, IN on 4/13/1848 What do you make of this? There has to be a connection somewhere. This is too much of a concidence. :)pam
