Dover and brother Ulas J. Dover, Jr. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at DORSEY FUNERAL HOME, with Reverend Jack Sallaugub officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9PM on Friday. An active member of the Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, Mississippi for over 20 years, she was honored by the Auxiliary Board with an award named in her honor for the most volunteer service to Memorial Hospital. As of December 31, 1995, she had given 20,000 volunteer hours. Shortly thereafter her failing health forced her to resign from her beloved volunteer work. Ann spent the last five months of her life in West Palm Beach with her daughter and family, where she continued to bless and enrich her family and new friends with her grace, gratitude and patience as she bravely lived with Parkinson's Disease. Mrs. Smith was a charter member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Gulfport, MS. A faithful wife, devoted mother, grandmother and friend, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ruffin Smith, who passed away on May 16, 1998. She is survived by her two daughters, Bettie Ann Stepp (husband, Dr. William R. Stepp) of West Palm Beach and Jeanie Smith-Duke (husband, William Duke) of Valencia, CA; her sister, Bobbye Brossett of Mandeville, LA; six grandchildren, Ruffin Stepp, Owen Stepp, John Stepp, Andrew Stepp, Martin Dover, and Bryan Dover; and two step-grandchildren, William R. Duke and Kathleen Duke- Tracey. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 1998, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Gulfport, MS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to either the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 5005 Lawson Avenue, Gulfport, MS, 39507, or to the Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1300 S.
