Mr. Dover was a native of Chattanooga, but had lived in Cincinatti for 30 years, returning here only two years ago. He is survived by two brothers, W.A. Dover, Chattanooga, and A.A. Dover, California; three sisters, Mrs. P. Gabel, Fresno, California, Mrs. Fred McNabb and Mrs. Charles Vaughn, both of Chattanooga. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2PM at the New home Church on Sand Mt. THIS IS MANCE M. NEW HOME IS PROBABLY NEW HOPE BAPTIST CHURCH ROSALIE, JACKSON COUNTY ALABAMA, WHERE MANCE IS BURIED. IT IS ALSO CALLED SAND MT. ALL OF THESE ARE CHILDREN OF HENRY ANDERSON DOVER AND AMERICA TENNESSEE SHRADER DOVER, MY GREAT GRANDPARENTS. ============== Chattanooga Times December 22, 1966 Page 7 Cagle-Dover 79 Dunlap, Tennessee died at his home early Wednesday. Surviving is his wife Mrs.. Ethel Cagle, Dunlap, two daughters, Mrs. Ivan Johnson, Rt. 1 Dunlap, Mrs. Reta Bess Lockhart, Detroit, three sons, Clyde Cagle, Dunlap, Johnny Cagle, Macanaw, Illinois, Paul Cagle, Delaware, one brother Bill Cagle, Dunlap, 32 grandchildren. The body is at the funeral home. The funeral will be Friday at 2PM CST, at the Community Chosen Church of God, conducted by Bro. Lee Whitmore and Bro. Major Keriey. Burial in Rankin Cemetery, Putnam-Slandeier Funeral Home, Dunlap in charge. =============== February 10, 1965 Bowman, Mary Elzy Dover (Mrs. William C.) Chattanooga Times Bowman-Mrs. Elzy Dover, 67 of 100 Hargraves Ave., Rossville passed away Tuesday morning at her residence. She was a charter member of the Valley Baptist church ad teacher for the Victory Bible Class. Mrs. Bowman was a member of a prominent pioneer family of North Georgia. She and her husband owned and operated Bowman Grocery Store on LaFayette Road, Rossville, Ga. for 25 years. Survivors are husband, William C. Bowman; one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Lamb, Rossville, one son Jessie J. Robinson, El Centro, California, mother Mrs. Carrie F. Dover, Rossville, one sister Mrs. John Holcomb, Ringold, Ga., one brother, Hubert Dover, Columbus, Miss. six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3:30 at the Victory Baptist Church with Rev. LeRoy Perry and Rev. C. Elmer Straight officiating. Interment in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Cicero Husky, Gordon Dawkins, Raymond Turner, Hubert Wallace, Dan Williams, and Clyde Matthews. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Victory Bible School Sunday School Class. The body will lie in state at the church of 30 minutes before the service.
