Roll of the Company of Captain Matthew T. Hamilton was dated at New Echota, Ga., May 16, 1838. Company was ordered into service by requisition of Maj. Gen. Winfield Scott for 3 months. One of the privates was: Hardy Dover. Tuggle's Company--Capt. James Tuggle, enrolled May 8, 1838, for 12 months. mustered into service May 22, 1838. Privates: Henry Campbell, John Campbell.
