    1. Re: [DOVER-L] Johnson Dover
    2. I think Lawson Dover could be a possibility. His age would certainly work. We know he had some kind of connection to Habersham Co,GA. We also know that Lawson Dover had connections to a Cross family. I have wondered if Lawson's wife is a Cross and if she is connected to the FJD Cross bunch, but haven't made a connection as of yet. Lawson was b.ca 1800. Only problem I can see, is age of Johnson. From his 1850-60 census he was 63-73, so would be 33 in 1820. The male on 1820 was 16-26 1794-1804. Johnson would only be 13 at birth of Lawson. Lawson appears on census for the first time 1830. Could of course just been someone living with them or working for them. I feel that Lawson Dover has some connection to FJD, but haven't found anything to prove it. I've wondered if Jesse Green might have confused him for Benson or Nelson in his autobiography. Lawson would fit the "son" naming pattern. Lawson is consistant in census that he was b.SC. Sharon S
