Please pardon my ramblings. Can't find my Madison Dover so I'll just have to adopt some of your Dover ancestors. 1861 Blount Co., AL Tax Index Jackson Dover, (Blount Springs Beat), 1 white male, age 21-45 The family makeup looks like this. 1860 Blount Co., AL Federal Census Western Division Summit Post Office 6-14-1860 W. P. St. John, enumerator (appears to be microfilm page 862) 186-186 Jackson Dover, 31, SC (1829) Sarah, 19, SC (1841) John F., 6, SC (1854) Thomas, 2, AL (1858) So this looks like he was borm in SC 1829. Is Sarah the wife? / daughter? He'd only have been 12 when she was born. Is Sarah John F. Dover's mother? She'd have only been 13. She could be Thomas' mother, she'd have been 17. William and Fidelia Dover are here as well as the HH Green Dennis mentioned. But they're clear across the county. Any thoughts on who Jackson goes with? Terry
