David Dover, Carroll County to Valentine Burnett, Campbell County. $600. Land lot #124, 3rd district. Carroll County. Attest: B. M. Burnett, Andrew Camp. Campbell County, December 1, 1838. Oath of Benjamin Burnett that he saw deed signed. Attest: Benjamin T. Watkins, Justice of the Peace; February 26, 1839. If you believe in coincidences, looks like David Dover and Mary Dover were brother and sister. The BURNETT's also are later neighbors of Samuel G. Dover recently posted. I recall that Valentine Burnett came from Rutherford County, North Carolina. 1860 Campbell County, Georgia shows: BURNETT, Mary D. 324 BURNETT, Benjamin 327 -----Original Message----- From: sromanek [mailto:sromanek@cybertrails.com] Sent: Saturday, March 27, 1999 1:53 PM To: DOVER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [DOVER-L] Mary Dover I noticed while going through some records that Larkin Calloway Dover married an Unknown Burnnett. Going through some records that Terry had posted I saw a Mary Dover who married a Volantine Burnet. I have Larkin listed as having a sister by the name of Mary, but she is married to a William Hendrix. I wonder if this could be another marriage for Mary. The time frame would work. Anyone got any ideas? The marriage record I am looking at shows: Mary Dover to Volantine Burnet 9-24-1839 Larkins sister is said to be born 1822. The age would be about right also. I have no date for the Hendrix marriage. Sharon Dover Romanek ==== DOVER Mailing List ==== Search the Dover archives at http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl?surname=D OVER-L
