    3. Lou, I have trailed on the research of others - Sharon mentioned Joe McGriff and others, but no where have I seen proof of Francis having a son named Elijah. We researchers have to be VERY careful in seeing a name that fits a pattern any assume that it must be the same family. (I'm not saying that is what you were doing. :-) ) It could have been one of the ...son's (Anderson, Johnson, etc.) liked the pattern and continued it. We do know that there was an Elijah Benson (don't we Dennis and Sharon S.) but does anyone know for sure if there was an Elijah Benjamin?
