My Great grandfather, William W. Whitice had a sister Mary T. who married a William Dover. The 1870 census for Chattanooga, Tenn. indicates that William Dover was age 40 and head of household. He was a house carpenter (as was my great grandfather) and was born in N. Carolina. His wife Mary was age 23. William and his wife lived at 1600 McCullugh Ave. in Chattanooga, in 1908.
