Hi Folks, I thought I would give you a heads up, a new worm has just started to spread in the last couple days. Its called Worm.ExploreZip The MSNBC page has a story that also explains what to do if you if you did get the virus. http://www.msnbc.com/news/278660.asp >From the MSNBC site > Computer security companies > said the worm represented a new level of danger, > combining the rapid-spread capability of the > recent Melissa virus with a far more dangerous > payload. Check out this site to verify this, if you want:) If you send anyone an e-mail and get a reply that says "Hey <your name>. I got your e-mail and will reply ASAP. In the meantime look at these zipped files." The message will have an attachment that is called something like "zipped_files.zip" or "zipped_files.exe." Do not open the attachment (it is the culprit). If you double-click or open the attachment, or save it and then open it, it will infect your system, which means it will start trashing your files. It also installs in your e-mail so that everyone who sends you and e-mail will get the same kind of reply with the virus attached. -- Happy Hunting:) Patricia Manson Dover Listmanager Alabama Listmanager ICQ # 35834412--IM pvmtrish http://www.myfreeoffice.com/treeshaker/
