    1. [DOVER-L] Dovers in Cherokee Co., Whitfield & Walker Co. Ga.
    2. GAYLE CALABRESE
    3. Anderson and William Simpson Dover, both sons of Francis, were also in Whitfield Co. pretty early as I recall. The family has never been able to establish the connection with these fellows, although there is a known kinship. William Simpson Dover, I believe was also in Walker Co. Ga. in the 1840's. These three counties connect in north GA. My GGgrandfather -Thomas[Tommy]C. Dover [son of Samuel and Susan Campbell Dover] was married in Cherokee Co. Ga. His brother- John Arkansas was married to a Julie A. Bird/Byrd. Their daughter Hazel who's still living, as well as playing the organ in her church, has been a source for much of my family information. Tommy C's son- Samuel "M" Dover, is my great grandfather. We have had no idea what the "M" is for, so the posting regarding the Mardis family is fascinating. Especially, when we have the Alabama connections as well as the obvious Arkansas one from the above name reference. This is another of the fun things that makes you say - Hmmmmmmmm............ Does anyone have a family group listing for all of Anderson's children? Or William Simpson? Isn't William Simpson also found as "Willis" every now and then? Dennis, are you out there? We've been on a long trip and have just returned.....so I can't find, or remember where to locate anything!! It'll take a great deal of time to get through all the mail/postings, to be sure...Just the same, I'll get back on track - hopefully - before too long with the sources for the references above...However, I believe I cited them in a very early posting last year some time......gaelcee
