    3. I noticed that there was both the spelling Dovers and Dover in this. Is that the way it was originally? Just wondering. I know some of us wonder if the Dovers family and the Dover family are two separate ones or not. Also, I noticed this man was born in Matthews, Missouri. I wonder where the name Matthews came from? May be nothing but might be something too. The King's Mt. area that is very important to our research has an area very close to it called Matthews, in S.C. also. Interesting. We know from this too that his father was Jasper Dovers/Dover. He would have been born sometime in the late 1800's I would think. Wonder where?Anybody know? I don't have a Jasper in my files yet.
