In resonse to your census information regarding Joshua Dover; My relative Solomon Hammond Dover(born Burke Co. N.C.-1806) moved with his parents Joshua Dover and Elizabeth Childers to Warren Co. ,KY at an early age, then Anderson Co. Tenn, then Overton County, Tenn(married there in 1827), Solomon and his wife then moved to Montgomery Co. ,Ill(1828), Henry County, Iowa(1834). I finally saw a copy of Warren County Tax information of 1804 which shows a Joshua Dover with one horse and no land. I cannot find any other reference to him in Warren County. I am starting to search records in Anderson and Overton Co. Thanks for your information.
