WADDLE (one changed spelling from Waddle to Waddell) listed in Red River Co., TX (around Clarksville). They joined "The Prairie Blues" on 8 June 1861. They were the sons of William WADDLE b. 28 Aug 1806 NC d. 1850-1860 Cadron River area Clinton, Van Burien Co., AR and Anne BUTLER b. 28 Dec 1809 Jackson Co., TN d. Cadron River Area, Van Burien Co., AR. of Van Burien Co., AR area. William migrated from NC to Gaineboro, Jackson Co. where Anne was born. They migrated from TN>MO>to Clinton, Van Burien Co.,AR and then the two sons Wm M. and John B. moved to Red River Co., TX. William M. Waddell was born 26 Nov 1839 in AR and died in the Civil war abt 1865 at the Battle of Iuka @ Corinth. It is believed he is buried at Walnut Grove Cem in Clinton, Scotland Co., AR. I do not know what happened to older brother John B. Waddle. John was b. 19 Jul 1837 in MO. Other than he was an enlisted private with "The Prairie Blues". William was third corporal.
