Sharon, Thanks for the response. I too have been hanging around for about one year reading all of the Dover entries. No connection has been made to the IN Dovers although I'm sure there is a KY connection. I have been contact with Marilyn Gentry who has been looking for Neely and even though he was in Greene Co also, we cannot hook them up. Neely married Phema Wiles on 10/24/1827 I am aware of the other Joshua and Dennis has kept him in mind as well. My Joshua's wife was Nancy McFarland and she was born 1800. She's listed in the 1850 & 1860 census. Since Nancy remarried in 1842 I assume Joshua had passed by then. There is early mention of the following in Greene Co, IN. Joshua Dover purchased a business in 1822. Zefehiah (I assume this to be Zepheniah) lived next to Joshua's farm. John Dover born 1790 had 4 children as pupils in 1815 in the first school in Beech Creek Twp. Dica Dover maried Hiram Hicks on 11/5/1823 Archibold Dover born 1802 married Nancy Hamons on 5/22/1823 Rebecca Dover married James Bryant 11/18/1831 There is mention of Isaac Dover born 1798 and Zepheniah born 1815.
