Marjorie, Dennis and I have discussed this before. One of the early researchers, Juanita McMann was heading in that direction before she stopped researching. >From what little I've seen about it in her notes, not sure just what her thoughts in that direction were. She does mention a William Dover in Augusta Co VA who was advertising for a slave who ran away in very early years. So, there must have been early Dover there. Think that Bobbie Jean has also had thoughts about VA. As far as I know, no one has followed up on it, yet. Sure would be nice if we could find a very very old Dover will that named all these children so we could finally figure out what was going on!!!!! :-) Sharon S
